Mike, definitely up for Santa Anas. Signed up for the counting coup on a whim last week and need to put some miles in.

Hey Randy, how about a counting coup preview that starts at Black Star Canyon?

Mike- cat has grown to enormous proportions. Mochigato is big-boned and weighs about 23 lbs!

Did Blackstar to Motorway on Saturday... Great condition until motorway which is looser than I've ever seen. Controlled sliding in places, not my favorite like that.

Went for quick jaunt on my new (reconstituted) Hardtail this evening. Quick little bike on the climbs and flats.

Thanks Randy, it's one of my prized possesions. Was in the Tour de France with Team Lotto.
My beloved Tracy....post some photos up, would love to see it. I miss her, we were good buds from high school. Figures she'd have such a ride.
Peace

not sure now. in the first pic it was a tad under 27 lbs. that was with 2.1 and 2.2 tires i think and now they're both 2.35 (much better but a bit heavier). also the platforms were nylon and now they're alloy so i'd guess 27.5 to 28? i don't think there was a weight change with the bars.

Looks much nicer without the green bars and pedals. Nice bike and at a good price.

My around the world touring bike (Surly Troll) converted into a bike packing rig with 2.8" tubeless tires. Maiden voyage in the Tucson desert. :)

Mike, Cragnshag and I met up yesterday (after perhaps over indulging in Christmas food and drink), for a ride from out of Mike's very scenic "backyard." High clouds kept the temps in the 60s, but the previous months of Santa Ana winds ensured the dirt was parched and dry as a bone (not ideal).

From previous experience, I knew Cragnshag would make me look bad both uphill and down (so he rode extra slow). Mike, the ever gracious host, shepherded me down the more technically "interesting" sections -- I've become much more risk adverse as I close in of the Medicare years.

A truly fun filled day and great company. Thanks guys!

Who else had a fun holiday ride?
