A microcosm of the Muir Wall.
Taking nothing away from his ascent....just comparing the time it took for both climbs.

Way to go Ethan Pringle: nice to see the hardest sport route in America has been sent for the second time by a local guy. I remember the old days when the Europeans used to come over to America and hike the hard sport routes, like "Just Do It", stuff that the Americans couldn't touch with a ten foot pole.
"Desnivel" reported that Pringle becomes the seventh person to climb 9b (or harder). The list goes like this: Pringle and three other guys have climbed one route each in this range, Andrada has climbed two, while Sharma has sent eleven and Ondra has done twelve. So you're right, Baggins, Sharma has been setting the bar pretty high.

Yay for the dedication and talent it takes to climb at that level. Good news for a hard week.

Wow! Both the ascent, and the fact that it took so long for someone to do the second. Yanqui, that's interesting, and shows what it would take for the SA of the Free Dawn: Sharma and Ondra teaming up, they'd walk up the crux pitches...but might need a third to help with the hard cracks.
