cbBurton,

I own a copy of this guide you want and am willing to part with it, however i live in Canada.

However, I will be in the LA area as of Saturday May 23, leaving Sunday and returning to LA on 30th and back to Canada on 31st.

I will be staying in Pasadena on 23rd and 29.
You can swing by my hotel or meet at night somewhere.
Will sell for going cost.

respond here as opposed to PM and we can go from there....

You can try Real Cheap Sports or The Great Pacific Ironworks in Ventura. Ive also seen it at Sport Chalet in Oxnard.

Thanks everyone. I have sent Bob a pm.

Greg,

If I haven't heard back from Bob in a day or two I'll gratefully buy yours. Thanks for the offer. I'm in Burbank, so Pasadena is practically around the corner.

Best bet would probably be Real Cheap Sports in Ventura, but you should call first to make sure. My stashed box that the Quiet Horse spoke of is long gone.
Haven't rec'd a PM either?? Not sure how the system works here. Anyways, I found someone's copy at Lizard's Mouth a couple years ago and tried to track down the owner to no avail, so you can have that one if you don't mind a used (fairly good condition) copy.

Hi Bob,

Yes, I've called every place that folks have suggested in this thread. They're all sold out. I'm not sure how the messaging works here either. Would you please email me at cbburton@gmail.com?

thanks much,
Chris

cburton,
Hey I will send you an email with something about the book in the subject line.
Let me know by Friday if you want me to pack it in my luggage or not.
Sat evening or very early Sunday morning would be the only time to meet in Pasadena or nearby.

Lovely weather right now (as usual). We did have a little rain a couple days ago so if the holds are still wet they will be friable.

Mountain Air Sports only had a shop copy left, but they were super helpful and let us take as many pictures as needed at their shop. Really nice people...wish I had something I needed to buy from them so I coudld support their business.

Hello, I am still looking for a copy of this guidebook. Do you have one to sell? Or know if a scanned pdf version? I know the book is out of print, and Bob said he has no intention of updating or having another print run, otherwise I would not ask about a pirate or bootleg version.

What is it the kids say? "Bump" this?

Pyro, that looks fun. Thanks for the photos.

Hope Rockies Obscure had a nice trip.

Yes he did as he always does every time I go to California, LA being one of my favorite places in the world believe it or not! I love going to movie locations when I am not climbing there.

And meeting Chris Burton was great as we both knew a local climber named Skot whom i met in Thailand in 1992, Chris now is friends with him- small world indeed.
