I recently had a mind blowing first trip down the Grand Canyon with a few photographer friends. It was an incredible journey through time, and the amount of rock down there is beyond comprehension.

If you ever go swim in the Little Colorado be sure to do a few laps on the cool limestone boulder up there. Wish I had a photo of it.

Here's a link to more photos from the trip: http://jerrydodrill.photoshelter.com/#!/portfolio/G0000iuzz5KJBg24

Good Question...

Hey Jerry after 8 trips down there (a small number by comparison to others I know though I am extremely grateful for each one of those) I'd have to agree.

It is not only a photographers paradise but the potential for routes is mind numbing especially with easy access from the river corridor (of course you have to get down there first).

Beautiful work from the link-of course:-)

Beautiful photos Mr Dodrill. I too was fortunate to spend 10 days in this magical canyon last summer...here are a few photos.

Thanks for adding your experiences, guys. I just got back from a second trip to the area, this time co-leading a photo workshop group on an eight day boating exploration of Lake Powell. It was quite the contrast to the Grand Canyon, but a fascinating adventure none-the-less. Here's a link to a gallery of photos from the two trips:

Wow Jerry. All of these are top notch, but a few are some of the best images I've ever seen. Thanks so much.

I spent the better part of April on the river with my brother and other friends, my 7th time down the river. More to come...
