Gutting science is like jury rigging...Laws are the tools for balance

I totally agree that laws are the balance to protect us and our environs. Although "gutting science" is drama. No more no less.
Good laws.
Laws that cannot be manipulated to satisfy one group's desires.
You may allow groups such as the CBD to regulate and govern where and when you may use your public lands, I will not.

These new laws allow just that, for only one group to do what they wish with public land.

Why should Yosemite not be sold and turned into a quarry?

What currently keeps that from happening?

How are policy and regulation OK for this purpose?

Should the constantly evolving science supporting the policies and science be ceased?

Tom Cochrane's cut and paste job here is typical of the Center for Biological Diversity's (disaster) whitewash attempts at influencing naive public support.
Scare tactics and paranoia are their weapons and they work not only on the uniformed but government agencies as well.

The bills in question would take away much of their influence and allow transparency that would in turn reveal their deceitful methods.
Our national parks and public lands cannot be controlled by a small group of capitalists like the CBD.

The current Republican Congress is a clear and present danger to the United States of America.
