I never gave it any thought. Climbing is so far out in front that whatever is second never really mattered (with the obvious exception.)
Things I like to do which are about as hard as climbing (in different ways) include writing, teaching my Jack Russel to place in barnhunt comps and cooking really well.

I've been kind of into and out of climbing maybe half a dozen times in my life...including a total break for 18 years at one point. Other biggies for me have been windsurfing/kite surfing and sea kayaking. And these days cycling. But I notice more and more that what is really satisfying for me is being in the wild... whether in the context of climbing kayaking or cycling.

Meditation
For me my rejuvenation, comes from movement, it is my form of meditation.
I like all types of movement from genteel to whiplash.
I really like to people watch, cook and dream.
But for me the third favorite thing,
all three being equal, .. ..LOVING, CLIMBING, &
walking into the woods . . . .. ..far enough to feel in . . .
and zone out .

Can't do it like I used to because it gets in the way of my #1 which is climbing. Bowl riding is in my soul though. Nothing like a good rip.

Love it! Looks like snow and moto take a close second (third)
I've always wondered why so many climbers trade in their gear for bicycles. It's such a terrible thing to do!

I'd never really do anything other than climbing, except I keep getting injured. So I go where the injuries let me. Currently I am learning to kiteboard. This afternoon I reinjured my calf. :)

I'm into aviation archeology, also called "wreck chasing"...I got back into it a few years ago.
I like to go and find old aircraft crash sites and document what's left. It can be incredibly rewarding and frustrating at the same time. You start with filing a FOIA for the crash reports from the Air Force, and it takes about 9 months to get the report so that you can move forward with the search.
Vegas is an awesome location for wreck chasing - Nellis AFB has been a training center since the 20s, and there is probably close to a hundred crash sites withing 50 miles of Vegas. Some of the wrecks I have visited in the last few years include:
F-100 (4)
PA-28 (2)
F-4 (3)
F-86 (2)
DC-3
DC-7
F-105
F-106
P-39
P-80 (2)
C-46
S-34
B-26
T-6
SR-71
F-27
P-3
C-130
Some of the aircraft I have been to have historical significance, like the F100/DC-7 midair here in Vegas that was the straw that broke the camel's back and led to the formation of the FAA, the crash site where actress Carol Lombard died, and the F-100 crash site that almost had Boyd (The father of modern air combat) kicked out of the AF.
I have plans this summer to try and locate the F4 crash site in California that caused the loss of Dean Martin Jr and his RIO, and the Lear crash that cost Frank Sinatra's mother her life.
While this can be a bit macabre, I do enjoy the challenge of locating and identifying old sites.
