Good morning Supertopo.
I always like POV sleeping bag "wake up" shots. Post up your bivy shots, your wall coffee shots, your sleeping bag shots, your "rise and shine" shots here.
This was our post bivy/pre ride sunrise just south of Coarsegold this morning. Post up ya sleepyheads!

BITD Don Leonard and I designed the Inter-Galactic Gazooby Suit. We cut a
first-gen synthetic bag in half and sewed one half to the underside of the
top of a first-gen REI bivy sac. Late on a daylight challenged early
December day I skied up to the foot of the Carbon Glacier on Mt Reindeer.
About 2100 the forecast storm blew in, with a vengeance. It was yer classic
Pineapple Express; buckets of rain and big time wind. Did I mention that
the top of that first-gen REI bivy sac wasn't waterproof? Yeah, after a
couple of hours it gradually became clear that I was in danger of floating
into the nearby Carbon River. Actually, the wind was so strong that I truly
thought I might be blown into it. About midnight I decided to haul up the
anchor and make for safer waters. Hey, being in the Navy did teach me a few
things. Did I also mention that I had a Wonder headlight? Yeah, it was
really fun trying to ski out in the dark with the wind gusts knocking me
down every few minutes.
Postscript: The Gazooby Suits actually worked well when we used them later
that winter on our -25F bivy on Mt Index. Hey, it wasn't my fault that
Don fell asleep and quit wiggling his toes all night like I did.
