I've had an informal challenge to my immediate climbing partners,

To wit: I'd climb a day in any Lycra they provided

Jaybro won

It was fun to climb in Lycra, I missed doing it in the 80s
And perhaps climbing in Indian Creek for the first time was a good setting. I'm on the way back so a trip report will come later

But the Lycra thing definitely needed its own thread

Is someone still making that fabric, or are those wicked vintage?

I think you should rock those all the time, to break up the " I just escaped from SuperMax" look ya got going there.

Great fun, great pics, great job!

Ron, you might want to talk about belay technique with your partner...

I bought those in maybe '87, in Phoenix, from a small operation run by two women who were Phx expats living in San Diego. I will contact the friend I met them through and see what I can find out!

I see nothing . . .
I am blinded by that 'Fish patch' the mom-jeans porta-sack?

I think that my pack lacks the panache of
that yellow Fish tag,
other than that it was a short haul to the top of the cliff,
when at the rap in I can wear them to dodge poison Ivy.

No pics. of thatActually the old Cedar snags, briars and short butt slides thru that same mess would and does shred 'more recognizable' climbing attire.

besides Ezra, that's gross !

I have seen only one other guy wearing such eye-grabbing sports & leisure garb in the last ten months.
