Hey, Sierra East Siders:
So did that big fire this winter burn up all of the canyon leading to Tom's Place? That whole event made/makes me ill to think about. I'm so glad no one was physically injured, but I know a lot of dreams went up with the flames. I was just wondering about the canyon for bike riding, if it's lost all of its charm or not. Pavement or single track, that was a great ride.

I was in Lower Rock Creek last weekend. There are a few burned patches, but where I went was beautiful. I only went down to the middle of the lower section, but there were a lot of other bikers on the trail like normal.

It's lower rock creek canyon. But that is another story. Is it really busy these days? Last time I rode it was around 2000 and had it to myself.
