When we met, Coz's spelling was atrocious,
but his appetite for new routes in JTree was ferocious,
We were young and precocious, At naming routs we were solicitous
It soon became a neurosis, that was defined by names both vulgar and sublime
We never got climb or name one supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

I, just saw a friend who doesn't know that I'm his friend just yet,

His eyes & mouth were widely open, & his jaw was set,

Like he'd fell off a cliff and hadn't hit the bottom yet
,
Wish he wouldn't pull those type of things on me with out a net,

I had him up to the house one time. We were having a real good time,. . .

Chim Chiminy J-Tree

Chim chiminy chim chiminy chim chim cheree
I think I saw Gnome and Coz down at J-Tree
Chim chiminy chim chiminy chim chim cheree
But there I saw lots of things you couldn't see
Between Churros and rattlers I was busy as could be
When I wasn't climbing my mind would be free
'Til I saw Mescalito was smiling at me
Chim chiminy chim chiminy chim chim cheree
For there I saw lots of things you couldn't see...

The Rarity of Being

This spare and brief existence
as fleeting as is time
Holding me to earth
an attraction I find
Gravely as gravity
and as gravely as the grave
No other sure reality
to go beyond or save
As if there were some otherworldly
world up in the sky
To capture of our essence
and transporting you and I

Beyond conjecture
Beyond fantasy
Beyond transcendence
and all hope
There is nothing I should wish
as much as presence to just be
Among family and friends
with the fortitude to cope
With another day of living
and awareness of the chance
That life appears both minuscule
and wonderfully
As wondrous as the butterfly in dance

Each breath that we take
Every beating of our heart
The solitary microseconds
separate and apart
Are moments I can't comprehend
or navigate the ways
Through miasmas of un-certitude
nor something to rehearse
As I plot my destination
through the fabric of the maze

I'm testing my acceptance
with no expectations
To find purpose in my world
through the stars I nightly gaze
It's the riddle to unlock
as ephemeral as the haze
The unlocked mystery
of the rarity of being
How impermanent and temporary
life has become
But immutable is the hope
and the love that we've shared
And all the rapt memories
of those that I love
Resounding through it all
they're all that's left of me

The unlocked mystery
of the rarity of being
How impermanent and temporary
life has been at times...

and at other times
when we thought we might live forever.

Now, I'm not one
To
Not go overboard
I do go past the line
With regularity

To the VW effect that I often can cover the truth of my off putting output
Output, that often while tripping the light fandango is past the lime light
Past what today's squirm ers consider correct in the parlance, of today's
level of politically correct behavior,my own parlance,
To much of everything is just enough
or
da more is jusd not enough, unless it is gone to far

At this I would keep on AT, but I'm witless at least,

most of the time - and time is running out.

Not that I have a crystal ball mine is a cut geo hydron, or three-dimensional hex-a-gone.
The fact is that the power-cord that supplies the thing I'm tapping on has given up the ghost

So now has it's % of charge as its last until a new cord can be acquired .....
That means that careful rationing is called for

I went to see on Mp that a fool child thinks that Ronstadt no Ron Andersons , not
being in evidence here and the tongue n' cheek name of a memorial named crag the only thing needed to call him passed, Burchy , and to a greater extant Fish disem -burpped
The dishwater, thinker of his mis guided honking .
I'm now down to the wire of my self induced power ration, 70%- 69% with corrections
See , I've gone to far.....
bye for tonight

Hanging down in Old Mexico

I wanted to jug the gold line
But Rich said whoa
No you don’t, Tim
No

An A3 corner thusly nailed
The bivy was a sloping pain
For hammocks
Oh

Grainy golden brown and tan
A friendship began
In JT ran to Mexico
So

Sunlit peanut brickle dihedral
And crispy quesadillas holds
Oh we were rightly
Told

A friendship built on granite holds
In more ways under winter sun
Down in old Mexico
Gold

We don’t forget
We won’t forget
What tequila did for us back then

One for Blue Gus Then...
The Blue Gus Chimney

as a child with a missing dad, your mum came upon my stand, she was only looking to prepare
you for your father.
I was not that much older than you and was not interested in you.
As a boy with blue hair and lost - expelled from school I did not care either.
I saw a buck and a half, a means back to the Valley.
other delinquents would appear out of that mist,
and together we embarked on adult hood
growing on up with all the pain to be understood
Then it was a long year that past for stealing cars and whatever.
you could have asked you stupid gitt, but youth don't play that...
Upon that canvass was washed my move, your step-dads trifle,
and your real dads arrival.
it was a return for your mother, built in dreams of a sunny future,
so off to Los Gattos you went and we never climbed again,
Where is that boy?
I've never known
I schooled you well,
and but for the one visit,
when you let the dogs out
Ive never heard of you again ,
I had a great time Gustave,
and It turns out now looking back,
You and your mother were the big pieces
to my puzzle, give her a kiss on the forehead
She tried to love that angry you, I saw you change and regret
The dogs doing what dogs do, I hope the world got kinder to all of you.
My time with all of you now stands out,
stands at the pinnacle....
although, it is true you never climbed that with me,
another lurking here? did and she deserves a big mention too.

Goin' Up the Country was immensely popular in the sixties after the Canned Heat came along.

I believe that the Blind Owl lived around Takoma Park, MD, a haunt of another blues-recording collector, Mr. John Fahey, and his friend Mr. Anthony Flea.

Too Sensitive

Your melting page of words
Like a chamber pot with turds
Like a nest full of dead birds
Brings a sickly smile to my face

The early spring pronouns are
Followed by the clouds of annyoying black gerunds,
the verbs and proverbs of summer,
and the clauses of deepest winter,
filled with fluff and nothing of merit.

The year revolves like the huge dictionary
on the lazy Susan
on teacher's desk,
Still un-rhymed,
still not being fully understood,
mostly because of a lack of communication.

Twenty sixteen...
Know what I mean?

So it's not four twenty...
Don't be "....."

Same year as that illusive airplane crash. Tom is someone I should have met, but I guess I had moved on by then. Four years is a long time when you're a teen ager.
