Merry Christmas!

Told me, darling, that you had to go
Done take your money, I don't care no more
I know you're happy, try to get along

Money won't change you
Money won't change you
Money won't change you
But time will take you on
Lookie here

If everybody had once been hurt
Then you know how it mean to be treated like dirt
Go ahead, baby, tell the world
That you're my woman and my only girl

Money won't change you
Money won't change you
I said, "Money won't change you
But time will take you on"

I [Incomprehensible] you're happy
[Incomprehensible] know you're happy
And now you're gone

Money won't change you
Money won't change you, mama
Money won't change you
I said, "Money won't change you
But time will take you on"

Lookie here, lookie here
Look here

I said, "One time, one time"
Oh, yeah, hold out, hold out
Hold out, hold it, slow it down, hold on

Get it, get it, get it, get it
Get it, get it, get it, get it
Get it, get it, get it, get it
Get it, get it

Get on up, get on up
Get on up, get on up
Come on, baby
Come on, baby

Everybody stand up
Everybody stand up
Raise your hands
Raise your hands

Then later on, after a short nap, I found that Ray O'Sunshine had been by.
And what, to my wonderin' eyes should appear,
But two feral cats who are livin' right here.
You cannot make this stuff up, zB.

Our feral cats (orange and orange mama) do not allow photos, something about not permitting their souls to be captured.

It appears though that you have captured a couple of souls on ice.

Burning in the soles of his feet, eh. Put some ice on it.

And who says Irish donkeys don't have a sense of humor? That said, it would still be very hard to capture on camera a donkey grinning from ear to ear.

MULES*
A boy scouts' ditty
(Or girls)

On Mules We Find Two Legs Behind
and Two We Find Before;
We Stand Behind Before We Find
What the Two Behind Be For.

When We're Behind the Two Behind
We Find What These Be For;
So Stand Before the Two Behind
and Behind the Two Before.

One day Mullah Nasruddin was asked
Could you tell us the exact location of the center of the world?

Yes, I can, replied Mullah Nasruddin . It is just under the left hind of my donkey.

Well, maybe! But do you have any proof?

If you doubt my word, just measure and see.

A Return to Balance: A Climber's Journey

Our environmental & mental balance are intertwined is the message.

Excellent winter shots (speaking of short days and depression) of Yosemite and super footage (on the disc I just watched) of Ron Kauk climbing stuff he's wired long ago...English Breakfast Crack and Nabisco Wall and in Tuolumne, too.

Not sure what's in these clips, but check them out anyway.

Impulsive acts have always been my down fall. The hunting laws in the state where I live allow unregulated hunting on your owned property no matter how small.
So my neighbor uses corn and salt licks, a basic pup-tent pop-up style blind and a expensive lean-up tree stand ladder thing, and cutting and building brush Walls, burms to funnel deer to his zone, all In an acre lot, that was not for sale and was a protected wet lands when he moved in a year ago. Now he owns it and I'm unable to control myself.(surprised)]
So this dawn I was a strolling and came upon a mouse" a mouse in distress.i felt bad the poor thing still out in the freak warm winter, it had ingested something foul to it and was spinning, rolling over itself.
I was taken to try to save he critter disregarding my unwelcome presence, and if I had thought about it ignoring the motion sensitive camera used to see if the bait is drawing in prey.

I've discussed this elsewhere, but 77 Sunset Strip has been demolished. There is however, a small monument.

It's one of those images that seems to follow you whichever direction you go in.

Why does this matter? The shadow above is purported to be the image of the donkey's tale. I don't say tail, because some people just make this stuff up.

Center of the unifverse? The other shadow is a nas_ruler or yardstick, one.

Postcards you say.

Just like no more zimbalist_Byrnes, however, and this is no made up bull, there is no more Cock'n Bull.

Irreverence was always in great supply at the Cock'n Bull, a mock British tavern favored by notables ranging from artists like Ed Ruscha and actor Richard Burton to rock singer Rod Stewart and his entire soccer team.
I remember sawdust on the floor and a blaring fireplace and my father entertaining his industry friends. I remember asking Beatrice Straight for her autograph because I had just seen Poltergeist at the Plitt theatre that day . There is no restaurant in Los Angeles that has left more of an imprint in my mind. Later in the 80's I saw Sean Penn and Madonna dining with friends. Luckily we lived very close by and frequented it a lot.
The restaurant spanned succeeding eras of nightclubs, coffee houses, discotheques, topless bars and rock clubs in the neighborhood which is hard to do by Los Angeles standards. The Cock'n Bull became an automobile dealership in 1987. There is a plaque above the entrance in honor of this institution.

In the spirit the season, Kookie "Don't Call me Barger" Byrnes.

C*#k n Bull was no match for tuck n roll.

I've cruised so many places in my life and times,
Pedaled bikes and created really crappy rhymes...
But now I'm so much better.

Flinging myself out the front door to await today's driver, who is about 2-3 minutes out.
Have you a good Saturday!
