Ah, well.
On to more obviously touristy pursuits. It's a big world outside the Taco Shell.
Today, we visit Iced Land, doin' its thing in the mid-Atlantic.
It's women read more romance novels than most any other European countries' women. And it's a place full of Romance languages.
Ickland has no standing army. They have an army of bureaucrats, though.

Just an unfinished work of art, I live amongst so many that I know one when I see one.
the legs, the scale, the perfection in the hand holding the Briefcase handle & the drape of the pants...
When I took to the Gnome it was for the multiple levels on which that it worked. Not just the lesser or greater eponymous fit but that there were hundreds of cute images that fit, too. Then, as now the only times' anyone posts gnomes it is to raise my ire. Ya` gotta be careful what you wish for.

There is a series of Don Juan books by Carlos Casteneda, neebee.
It has to do with visions engendered by hallucinogenics like peyote and psilocybin.
It is seventies vintage New Age-y stuff designed to sell to the drug-experimenting youth and zBrown is the expert on Carlos here, as it's "local" stuff, local to San Diego, his turf.
The series is NOTHING LIKE Jake's Ranch, believe me!
It was good at the time, though.
So was the Jake's Ranch series, though it's still plenty good.

The quote about women is from an article based on an interview with Carlos Castaneda an anthropologist and author (originally in Spanish but translated)
Carlos wrote 11 or so many books
He was a Brujo
Likely still is though he died in 1998

For those who may have arrived differently.
Vern went to Madera last night to deliver a man named K from the hands of the sheriff. K spent the night here and then Vern hadda drive him to Fresburg for a probation meeting, and why not in Madera, I haven't a clue.
Vern's a good man with a generous streak a mile wide.
