Do you miss Norwegian?

Are you nostalgia-ridden over his sweet mind?

I have purchased a book called "Norwegian By Night."

Of course, soon as I saw the title, my own sweet mind began re-minding
myself of his days walking and writing among us.

As he once appeared.
I may have seen him in the coffee shop this morning.

I wasn't too sure if this is his mug or not, since we never met.

^^^ Thangyu. Icandecide. Makes no difference.

Confidence Man as a boy.

Not a mannish boy, mind you.See Kurt Vonnegut's Slapstick, or Lonesome No More!

“If you can do no good, at least do no harm.”

“Love is where you find it. I think it is foolish to go around looking for it, and I think it can be poisonous. I wish that people who are conventionally supposed to love each other would say to each other, when they fight, 'Please — a little less love, and a little more common decency'.”

“FËDOR Mikhailovich Dostoevski, the
Russian novelist, said one time that, "One sacred memory from childhood is perhaps the best education." I can think of another quickie education for a child, which, in its way, is almost as salutary: Meeting a human being who is tremendously respected by the adult world, and realizing that that person is actually a malicious lunatic.”

It so funny someone said the "Stooges"
over on the "best 'murican band thread
& that they were "great" because they had no acrutrama ?(spelling)
No accessories the quote is from ecdh, with whom I already spared so I'll
add it here to make da obvine funny

"No private planes, no light shows, no hit singles, no beautiful girls, no scene, no stereotypes, but they shifted the course of modern music.
As Jim Jarmusch said, 'they were only guys of their time not trying to be the rolling stones'."

that is just not so-
I was certainly a beautiful gurl when they played their 1st gig at my old highschool\well the way Iggy rubbed up on me he at least thought so
gafwua

the whole quote is so wrong in so many ways
the Andy Warhol boys- no scene? ho, please!

And they epitomized the crushing rush to out grunge the at the time off the charts Mod style that was emblematic of the Rolling Stones.
There was a deep american music scene in the mid 60s
That scene was full of bands of all genre. All trying to be -not- the Stones.

The quote completely dismisses the history of rock n roll.
As if it there was no Brian Jones(s) David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Quicksilver, NRPS, Mott The Hoople, Rare Earth....
pre-punk explosion,
is that what it say? not said ? it says that they had a changing effect
"Shifted the course of modern music"?the stooges did? in only the sense that, faking bi-sexuality became a cool way to fund a band.
And then only if the sugar-daddy had deep pockets and fuels to make it fun....
just can not hang with the glitch

the road up there

give or take a hundred klicks past
several stop lights
more or less

some friendly miles of mountain driving
old sugarloaf then
phantom spires

on forest snows sleeps the marauder
tonight off broadway
lovers leap

where we once strode we stand alone
some say forever
no one knows

the shadows know for whom to mourn
their cold indifferent
loving care

And the sky is a hazy shade of winter.
Leaves are brown
Down by the riverside.
Or creekside, in my case.

old souls
or
(way to f*#k it up by interjecting politics)

If I were an old dog
I’d be grey faced and limping

if I weren’t a broken climber
I’d have less excuse for gimping

If I were an old donkey
I’d be twitchy eared and saddlebacked

If I had never quit smoking
I’d be sore throated and lung hacked

If I were an old raven
I’d be coarse throated like an old sailor

If I were any kind of old writer
I’d be no eloquent Norman Mailer

But I am no old soul
just a boy on a beat up bicycle

And if I keep falling down
they might put me on a tricycle

La da da da da da boom
then the pavement I will be kissing

But I won’t eat my applesauce
after my senses have gone missing

If I were an old zoo animal
I’d be no giraffe or hippopotamus

For if I were an old animal
my picket sign would be eponymous

With every beast within the field
or the wilds and in the ocean

Not like an old politician
clamoring in the commotion

So many folks these days
disgruntled and rarely synonymous

Some never become old souls
and we just remain anonymous

But I won’t bay or howl
and I won’t ride that tricycle

For I’ll never become an old soul
just a boy on a beat up bicycle

Pretty far from political discussion.
But chickenshit is still chickensh#t, it don't matter the breed.

There are a number of lines still not climbed, but more severe.

Reputed to be the highest pinnacle in Frackistan, the Leaning Arrow has only been done by DMT and Sasha.

In a day.

With no bolts.

Last pitch led by DMT, no hands, in the dark.

The stuff of legend.
