Quite an accomplished ukelelist, she has a strong voice. Haven't seen her around town in two years. Heard she got married and moved away.

Rolling Thunder Struck

Hunter S Thompson loved it.

If there's anyone who knows, is there anyone who cares? He's the one who is rumoured to have shot at Luke Stink.

Yeah, but what about Juan? And the "sheep" dogs?

After supper they went home and watched a movie about mountain climbing.

In the movie, an avalanche had caused a party of climbers to either choose a daring new route to the summit or to bag the whole expedition and return to base camp.

“Are you snow-blind? It is madness,” insisted the scientist.

The handsome lead climber said, “If it is madness, then I am mad. But I say go for it.”

“And I share your madness,” said the bold woman with the white fur collar.

“If the entire world shared that view, it would still be mad,” said the scientist.
:
Fiona sat on the edge of the bed and worked her shoes off, saying, “Gosh, I wonder what they’ll do.”

“The scientist dies,” said Ray.

The insurance wonks have no explanation for why this guy lived as long as he did. And they've seen it all, if you believe their TV ads.

Too stupid to be able to figure out how to open an umbrella (or even how to spell the word), he was eventually dispatched to the other side in a grisly accident involving a garage door opener gone haywire.

To this day it is a mystery how he ever was issued a driver's license.

His demise at the hands of a garage door gone wild was preceded at intervals by no fewer than six non-fatal, single-car traffic accidents, three of which resulted in totaled vehicles. He spent over four months in traction following the event in which he ended in the Merced River and was saved by the SAR team.

And despite this dismal record, he was never seen to fall or to make a wrong move on a rock climb. Ever. He became a totally different person in the vertical plane.

Never seen the like, not even Floyd with his Dolt Blue Boots in '70.

Floyd was his opposite, able to perform wonders (balancing an ice axe on his nose, twirling it like a baton for hours) while standing on the ground, but he went to pieces if he got three feet off the dirt on a boulder.

And then there were guys who could do all this and more.

It takes all kinds, don't it?
