The chances are 1 in 2,700 that Bennu collides with Earth.

What, we should worry?

As it turns out, 250 mcg. is actually quite a hefty dose of LSD, and Dr. Hofmann had a powerful and rather frightening experience that forced him to bicycle home form the lab and spend the day in bed, where he fully recovered in a few hours. The anniversary of this day, April 19th, has become known to many appreciative people as “Bicycle Day,” in honor of Dr. Hofmann’s famous hallucinogenic journey through the streets of Basel on his bicycle while traveling home from the lab.

And the record for the highest known JENGA® tower is 40 complete stories with two blocks into the 41st, claimed in 1985 by Robert Grebler (US).
The records do not indicate where his head was at.

Hooblie, I'm lichen the flowers! Lovely, lovely, thank you very much!

For those who have not explored the possibilities of the Karoo Ice Era:

Bushman, I was working in the library today, and chanced to read again both Alpine World #1 and Alpine World #2. If I wanted to publish them sometime in a Real Journal of a social organization, and I could get permission to have a guest poet in in residence for, say three months (3 issues) of the publication, would you be interested in having any of your poetry published? But really, really, I am completely charmed by Alpine World #1 and Alpine World #2, especially of all your poetry.

Obviously, I am planning a Great Adventure for my next lifetime. It's probably a few years too late to go exploring quite that far from my present space/time, but I'm putting it on the list of 'adventures where we hardly know if we survived the ordeal'—that sort of Adventure. :) Because I think you nailed it with Alpine World. Thank you very much for creating such a Great Adventure Dream for us.

I am changing the spelling cause spellcheck. Feral*Fae. I don't think I can change my membership name without a special dispensation or something. But I'll see . . . No, and I see why, too.

So, toward whom do I grovel and beg to get my name changed? I know it is just a whim Can you be bribed? LOL

If you want any one thing too badly, it's likely to turn out to be a disappointment.
The only healthy way to live life is to learn to like all the little everyday things,
like a sip of good whiskey in the evening, a soft bed,
a glass of buttermilk, or a feisty gentleman like myself.

Hi Mouse, so good to see you here this evening.
You know, I have had some things I wanted so very, very badly, that I almost wrecked myself a few times, but . . . let me think . . . yep, except for being able to save Doug, my exceedingly hard work and gift of a good brain have paid off better than I deserve. But even the two of us together could not bring that one off. It's okay, but it certainly taught me that while I have been very blessed, G*d reserves some outcomes for reasons I have yet to understand, or even to ask effective questions, come to that.

But, yes, I can see the days ahead of me when I will be happy to sit in a little solar house, sipping tea with loved ones, gazing out at the Winds, catching a fish for dinner, listening to the river flow by, gathering a few eggs, watering the flowers. Living even more simply that I do now.

(Pachelbel plays in time with the crackling wood fire.)

So, good evening to you, sir. I hope you are feeling well and well-fed and have the proper libation.

I think just as mountains come to an angle of repose, so we individual humans find our angle of repose, each one of us at our own degree.

Sweet dreams to you, Mouse, and to all those who warm their hearts around the Flames.
F*F (see? this way I get to have a bit of fairy dust. To be really fancy, I'd turn the first F and make wings around the fairy dust)(I know, I know—I am nattering.)

Thank you for the flowers.
I am listening to another Pachebel. Have not listened to his music in a long time. I always think of Eden when I listen to Pastoral.

Hi Feral Fae,
The best contact for me here is by email;
bushsorenson@yahoo.com
The Supertopo email feature to contact me here hasn’t worked for a long time.
I am interested in learning more about your offer. I am currently working on the ongoing saga of Misty Aye (part III) but have hundreds of poems archived and saved in a file, many of which have been posted here. Anyway, we can talk.

I've not moved out yet. I'm still thinking about going to buy some packing boxes from UHaul. Makes things easier. Also, I don't have to be out till the middle of April, so I'm still just on the edge of getting stuff moved.

I'm not rushed and not in a hurry but it'll get done. Thanks for your concern, Dingus.

Running through the rain in his Burberry overcoat
007 clutched the valise tightly as he hailed a cab
As he hopped over a frog in the gutter
He whispered under his breath
“You don’t want to know what’s in these plans little Frenchy
It might turn your little stomach
But then you do love that foie gras!”

I’ve gone from QMB to SLMB in the blink of a bureaucratic eye.

Based on an official, uthoritative, and no nonsense letter which arrived yesterday, dated 3/10/18 (everyone’s in such a rush these days...eye roll...),

as of March 10, 2018, Medicare Premium Payment Programs will change for me:

I am no longer eligible for the Qualified Medicare Beneficiary Program, which pays for Medicare Part A and B expenses including premiums, coinsurance, and deductibles,

because I have an income that is above the limit (FPL), that limit being $1,020/mo.

I’m not sure how far over the limit I am, but there’s nothing to be done, the law is the law.

This is also the last month the state will pay the Part B Medicare premium for me. As of April 1, 2018, I will get Medicare premium paid through the Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiary Program, for those with income up to 120 percent of the FPL (Federal Poverty Level).

I feel like I am awash in the backwash of the slush of the leftover swill made from the sludge left behind by Great Society. And the crackers are stale, too.
