I was proud to go climbing with him, always with acient gear and cloths from "Uncle SaLs", till he stopped showing up, some time in the mid 90s.

don't let me mislead you gnome about my rappel intentions.
for all but a couple hours of these excursions i have been shod in crocs.
i'm so decrepit & creaky i've been marooned at the back door of my school bus.
so think of this as an 1800 lb test handicap rail. a bamboo pole might
work too, but on a croc and camera mission, this will be less clumsy.

packing three stoppers in what is clearly tri-cam country,
now there's a problem!

The jsBrown lookalike is some Joe named Fitschen.

Not to be confused with Little Joe.

California: On the Edge of American History by Ronald Genini
$21.95/ea.

"The information, detail and academic correctness are all superb. Great readability and flow for a historical work. Lengthy, but so is its subject matter. Gives a complete picture of a great state and well worth reading. You will come away impressed."--One reviewer's remarks

Jody's sure to be ordering a copy, too!

Yes sir! I married up & outta da gunk, literally.
The remembrance thread for Dave Lanmam, has seen the meat deleted? Including his 1st wife's poignant comments,
so I've stripped most of anything I had added & posted it here.
thnx for the consideration, if it is mis-placed say boo.

I'll try to get some of the pix from recent shoots up. for fun ive been looking at the reflections [
equating racism & patriotism

Taking a gnee during the song as a statement against the wanton, un-justifiable shooting of black skinned people,
has nothing to do with respect for our troops or country.

In fact It speaks to the respect for & . . . the very freedoms accorded to
free americans, although a case could be made that the NFL could easily be seen as modern day, well disguised by trappings of wealth, form of slavery.

Glad that you shjtforbrains are anti slavery and that your white bubble is secure in your modern fascist/rusky bred dictatorship in estrus . . .

Have we Amerikaner laid claim to Mars yet?

I expect that our current Chief Executive and Kommander-In-Chief will graciously and humbly allow his name to be immortalized by associating it with some newly-explored terrain feature.

I appreciate how NASA has given names to the Martian topography based on Terran scientists, mariners, and geography. It is a fitting way to honor the explorers and innovators whose cumulative work has enabled we hominids to view this New World.

i.e., Rubin Ridge, Gale Crater, Ireson Hill, Bagnold Dunes, and Darwin.

Those appear to be egrets around the pond. Nice vista, Dingus.

Lemme guess...you drove up through Clear Lake to Boonville and then went downstream?

BTW, nice array of flowers on the Flowers thread!
