There's quite a lot of information in that link, zBrown.

Thanks for putting that out and good luck deciphering the Rx. Must be a Doctor's handwriting.

That price increase from $300/oz to $400/oz is a real buzzkill. Add in the cost of driving to Woodlake-in-the-Sticks and it gets expensive.

Throwpie is right: it's best to grow your own if you can. But it's still a pain in the butt.

All this legal and administrative BS is NOT what I had in mind back in the day when we first wondered what things would be like when da kind became accessible legally, though the idea is on the shelf in a hard pack like Marlboros, but not yet sold or monopolized by the big tobacco companies.

Who is to say this might not still happen? Not that it's a substitute for the more evil of the two weeds.

Cosmic is doing nothing but edibles now, he says.

The Longbottom Mantra

A tumbling the astroid of burning hot coal
Bouncing and ricocheting around in my bowl
Smoldering like a fumarole
Fulfilling its prime role
Delivering it’s volumes of smoke to my pie hole

The mind reels now headlong straight into a barrel roll
Oh Ganja you goddess
Expounding the depths of my craving for Oreos
Smoldering like a fumarole
Fulfilling your prime role
Delivering great volumes of smoke to my pie hole

Oh Ganja you goddess
Replete in your bodice
Oh cannabis divinity and godhead samadhi
I bow to your sweetness like a sip of hot toddy

A tumbling the astroid of burning hot coal
Bouncing and ricocheting around in my bowl
Smoldering like a fumarole
Fulfilling its prime role
As I stroll past the vineyard and over the knoll
Down to my Hobbit hole...

(Repeat)

Regalia No Longer in Demand

No necklace of human bones, monkey will do
No cup from a silver-mounted cranium
Keep the thigh-bone trumpets silent
Beat once upon the skull drum

Dear President Trump, you are unwelcome in Lhasa!
And where is dear Mr. Steve Comey?

I'm actually quite a good grower. I grew a Jacaranda from a pod.

It is interesting that some municipalities are banning outdoor growing altogether, while others are charging exhorbitant fees for indoor growing. Not mutually exclusive.

Anyway, a mechanism for how alcohol can (and does) cause cancer has now been documented. It gets in your genes.

Alcohol can cause irreversible genetic damage to stem cells, says study

Coming To Grips With a Touchy Problem

We can come to an agreement, I am sure.
Given enough time and enough words.
Given enough time to elucidate and to verbalize our thoughts.
Given enough effort to avoid doublespeak and cant.
Having listened carefully to each other’s utterances
and conversing politely like gentle persons.
Having tolerated one another’s gibberish and garbled sentences.
Deleting from our minds the nawmeans and the lemme says.
Being hip to the palavering of patois, pidgin, argot, lingua franca and slang.
Nodding and raising eyebrows and using some hand gestures.
Watching the babble turn to meaningful ideas.
We can chit-chat some more over lunch.
Leave the phones off.
Sit in a corner booth.
Clam up when the server comes.
Take off our sunglasses and look each other in the eyes.
And maybe, just maybe, we can decide whether to walk or ride to the debate.

The poor hardcover is not trade-in-able any longer. It is now a bit thicker, caused by pages swelling.

Glad it wasn't a radio.

Speaking of bewks...

McCann can do it, but not without help. Karen's book is coming in a few days.

WOMEN OF THE AMERICAN RESISTANCE
YOU ARE THE ONE WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR
Karen McCann

In the midst of the #metoo movement and the run-up to the Women’s March 2018, activist and bestselling author Karen McCann has published a book designed to galvanize even more of America’s women into action.

“Outraged? You should be,” McCann says. “Wish you could do something about it? You can!”

Recent research shows that together we are strong enough to put the brakes on this train wreck. How? That’s what Women of the American Resistance is all about. Here are the research findings, roadmap, and practical tools needed to transform sympathetic onlookers into engaged activists.

Read remarkable stories of ordinary American women stepping up to the challenges of our extraordinary times.

Learn how to connect with dozens of high-impact progressive organizations seeking volunteers right now.

Discover why you are the one we have been waiting for.

ORDER BOOK ON AMAZON

A year ago, McCann was a travel writer and bestselling memoir author; her travel tips and adventure stories have appeared in Huffington Post, International Living Magazine, New York Daily News, Los Angeles Times, and Lonely Planet. After the 2016 election, she put that job on the back burner to work for the Resistance doing organizing and mobilization. Being a storyteller by trade, she began producing articles, videos, and now this book to speak out against abuses of power and explore ways each of us can impact our collective future.
