Is it just me, or is there too much violence in the media?
The Warriors are one game away from sweeping the Spurs out of the Western Conference finals after Saturday’s Game 3 win.
They are so underwhelmed.

Copperfield, at present, I have nothing to bestow but advice. Still, that advice is so far worth taking. I have never taken it myself, and am the miserable creature you behold. Young friend, I counsel you: Take the Warriors all the way.
Hooprolling began with an activity once held on May Day, which students celebrated as a day of frivolity and of escaping from real-world worries into a day of child's play. Students would dress up in children's clothing and play games on Severance Green. One of the most popular was a race in which seniors, clad in graduation robes, rolled wooden hoops. Hooprolling has become a Wellesley institution in itself and is now held independently.
Another not-so-well-publicized event here in My Town.
The month of May being Bicycle Month, Mayor Murphy last year decided to push the pedals for public awareness.
The Mayor's Bike Ride has officially become a tradition, now in its second year. I'm not sure, but these girls seem to be off-piste.

I chose to stay home and took a long walk later in the heat of the day to El Bajio and the Grocery Outlet.
Summer's here, the UC students have left for now, and the mockingbird rules the nighttime. The window's wide open and his sounds are like crystal, so crisp and happy-sounding. And such a wide selection of bird-calls this one has, Oh my! :0)

The tree crew was out and whacking palms Saturday a.m. and provided plenty of entertainment of a sort enjoyed by retired old farts...watching others work and silently criticizing.

The first hit by the Spinners.
They call them the Detroit Spinners or the Motown Spinners
to avoid confusing them with an English group of that name. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqpOOpvpP1g
A professional big game hunter was reportedly crushed by an elephant while hunting in Zimbabwe (and I can nearly taste the irony).
According to Netwerk24, the hunter was identified as 51-year-old Theunis Botha of South Africa.
Netwerk24 was told by a source that a group of hunters, including Botha, fired on three charging elephant cows on Friday. A fourth cow was said to have lifted Botha with her trunk. And when that elephant was fatally shot by another hunter, it collapsed on Botha.
Botha was a pioneer of Monteira hunting, in which packs of dogs are deployed to chase deer and boar towards hunters. Netwerk24 reported that he recruited wealthy Americans to participate in his hunts.
“Mr. Botha was a highly regarded houndsman and frequently led leopard and lion hunting safaris with his pack of dogs,” the Telegraph reported.
BTW, you have my deepest sympathy for your pain, but, unlike recent (sorta recent) POTI, I am unable to FEEL it at this time.
(And I thank God for that).
FACT: Bruce Lee injured his back causing damage to his sacral nerve in 1970. The injury was due to overtraining and lifting too heavy during "Good Mornings", a weight training exercise, not during a fight as many people believe. Although doctors told him he would not be able to continue his lifestyle in the martial arts, through determination he fully recovered and went on to star in four and a half films made between 1971 and 1973.
Only thing is I wasn't even training, let alone over.
I wuz just sittin' at the compUter and replacing my O2 sensor.
