A couple of my partners for April road trips are suddenly on the bench due to injuries :-( so I'm in need of partners for the various places/dates below during the month of April. Looking for safe, reliable partners who would be interested in climbing good quality "trad" routes from 5.9-5.11a/b or so. Please respond on this thread and/or PM me if interested (PM function still seems a little sketchy). Thanks!

1. RRocks or Zion, Thurs April 2 - Sunday April 5 (Monday 4/6 also possible)
2. Josh, Tues April 14, Monday April 20 & Tues April 21
3. RRocks or Zion, Thurs April 23 - Sat April 25 (Sunday 4/26 also possible)

Cheers, Dave

Damn, wish I could break away for some Zion.

Am going to be in Eldo for a couple of hours in and out on the 1st to rope-solo the Bastille Crack forty years after doing it the first time...

Superbump, cool! Thanks.

HJ-enjoy your time in Eldo. Bastille crack is pretty darn slick anymore, plenty of hand oils and shoe rubber ;-)

Tim-sign up for some fun!

Cheers,
Dave

Bastille crack is pretty darn slick anymore?

I thought it was ridiculously slick the first time I climbed it,
while wearing Robbins boots. ;-/

BTW, I'm passing through Zion this Friday but I'm sure you can do better,
unless you wanna do some boiding. ;-)

I'm sure there is no lack of interest amongst the Supertopians, BrassNuts. I would love to join you as a safe belayer as you cruised up things I would love to follow! But I have a niece from Colorado visiting all this week and a different niece from CT visiting the other times. Sometimes life gets in the way of climbing, and that's OK.

Dave, thanks for the heads up. Did it at thirty years as well and thought it wasn't overly slick then (and I don't use chalk). After even one go at Devils Lake, though, nothing feels all that slick anymore. Have fun on your trip.

Can you manage a Black Canyon weekend in your schedule? You'd be the guy to do Atlantis with, I'm thinkin'. I'll bring the Old Chubb and sandwiches.

Wish you the best of luck in getting some partners, sounds like a fun trip. I'd throw my hat in the ring but my follow tops out at 5.8 these days.

That being said, the wife and I are always up to meet up with Tacoites while they are in town, so we can get together for food or brews if you have the time. Have a blast!

Thanks for the posts gang, I'll check in again tomorrow... Yah, could make some time to be social while in Vegas :-)

Todd, yah we can talk next week, thanks.

Grug , staying west this trip, no BC despite the temptation of old chubbbbbbbbb....

Reilly, I will be in Vegas by Friday but I have found the watchman campground and nearby trails in Zion to have good birds :-)

Toejahm, signing you up for a half day Friday and all day Sat, thanks! Looks like it could be a bit windy but there are many options... Will be arriving in Lost Wages this eve. Open to a potential happy hour Thurs Fri or sat :-)
