hey there say... there is an epilepsy awareness month, (used to be nov, and i think it still is) ... but this NEWER 'take notice' day, is
now called a PURPLE day:

here is a link... a young girl, started this, hoping to reach folks, just as a learning share for this condition...

* at one epilepsy site, for instance--folks used to say that breast cancer had so much attention, but, they were concerned that epilepsy did not, and--
the stigma to their children, was just so overwhelming, as to HOW they were treated by the PUBLIC ... and, many younger folks, looking for jobs, also had many troubles, getting accepted :

here is a note, as to the PURPLE DAY, in case anyone saw MORE purple,
than usual, today... :)
http://www.purpleday.org/

and of course, EACH and every day, it is GOOD to be aware of family, loved ones and friends, that DEAL with it, as, it is a
very confusing topic to those that DO NOT deal it...

it changes a life forever, in various ways of limiting ones independence...

with physical limitations, you can still work at overcomeing...
but when it involves ones BRAIN and never knowing
'how or when' a seizure can hit...

it becomes a lot more of a battle... and endangers one, in many
'normal' things that day-to-day life, involves...

hope you pass this on:

CHECK OUT an epilepsy site, and take a nice read...
and ask a friend to DO IT too...

http://www.purpleday.org/aboutepilepsy

and, if someone you know that has seizures, does not get out much, due to this 'fear of seizing' in public, ... encourage them, or go WITH them, or
take them for a nice drive...
many many folks, are simply NOT allowed drive, due to this condition...

be a friend, not only today, but whenever you can!

:)

we all know what it is like to need a ride, and no one will help
as, they are just toooo busy, :(

Dostoyevsky had severe epilepsy.it didn't stop him from writing hat I find to be some
Of the most Lucid, insightful prose, ever! I always thought he could be a motivational icon for people living with that condition....
