neebee has become a very valued personal friend, solely because of the ST and Facebook. She even surprised my by sending a painting of my wedding, 30 years after the fact. She is a real treasure.

hey there say, walleye... wow!!! wow, i just KNEW it was for you!!
ps:
you can get a bit of clear laquer nail polish and use it to
put on the BLUE spots, where i had added blue paint, ...
(it said minn. in that spot) ...
it will keep the blue acrylic, longer, to last... :)
as, always, with lapel pins, check the BACK so it is not loose, :)
when you use it...
happy WALLEYES! and happy walleye!

This thread needs a bump.
The other day when I checked the mail there was a good sized flat package sticking out of the mailbox. The return address was Neebee... Hmmm. Up at the house I opened it, and what an amazing surprise!
She meticulously crafted this beautiful painting from a photo I had posted of my master, Max. My print from the photo doesn't hold a candle to the warmth and character of Neebee's art. This is such a great gift. And it is obvious that it was not done in a few short hours.
Barbara and I are doubly struck by such acts of kindness and generosity from someone we have never (yet) met. A dream-catcher hangs over the bed, and now a suitable place will be found to display this piece. We are both simply delighted.
Thanks Neebee!!

It's interesting that Max pays no attention whatsoever if he sees himself in a mirror or a photograph. But when he first saw this painting he was very interested. He looked at it, sniffed it a bit, turned and walked away, then came back for another look.

hey there say, ksolem... thank you for letting me know that it got there... oh my, you know:
i felt like he was in the room with me... his little happy face, kind of saying: the time and effort for that RUG is WORTH it, :))
wish i had done it in oils, but my ideas pile up, at times and i have to do some in acrylic, :)
it is sprayed with a thin protection, lacquer stuff, but do not wipe it with anything damp, :)
i was so happy to hear, that he got well, after that DEER episode, that he stayed in my heart, :))
happy good eve, to you both and to your home, :)
as always, thanks to johntp, and even sooze, who both got me back to
the painting trail, that i had been away from for far too long...
i really missed it huge, and now, i can finally DO it again... wow!!!

I am the newest recipient of a Neebee painting. It is an incredible work of art. My Dad considered himself a climber and he died a little over a year ago at the age of 77 from COPD. He started climbing because I climbed. His first route was at Paradise Forks and from then on he was hooked. Over the years he climbed through out Arizona at the McDowells and Pinnacle Peak. He lived in Southern Minnesota and had climbed with me all over that state at the Redwing quarry, Taylor Falls and the North Shore of Superior.
Neebee painted this portrait from an old family photo of him as a little boy, sitting on the porch of his boy hood farm.
As we all know, Neebee is an angel. The amount of love she put into this priceless work of art is truly amazing. It is my most cherished possession now and it hangs proudly over his flag that my daughter put on top of her piano.

will get busy... i have TONS of new beads, from our ol' taco buddy
studly, here...
a gracious thanks to him...
and manzanita, from manzanita man...
a gracious thank you to him...
so, will get busy, and have lots of grapevines from him, too...
i had NO BEAD for a long time, SO MANY of my smaller gifts,
were not as fancy at all...
but now, wow, i am 'up to the challenge' again,
to help the fundraisers, and help folks feel well,
for get well gifts, AGAIN...
i even got the 'fake sinew' thread, too!
will track down some leather strips soon... and i got

hey there say, pete... originally, it was a SURPRISE spur of the moment, gift... but, i never had the funds to send it... :O
thus, when i did, wellllllllllllllll, it turned out, it was near christmas,
WOW... more fun timing, now...
so, you can open it for christmas eve, with a glass of wine...
or, tomorrow afternoon... before the real eve, sun sets, :))

wow, happy it got there safe!... say, if you need a frame, let me know, i was supposed to get one from the thrift store, but did not find one this time... *i can find one to send, later...
and wanted to get it in the mail...
say, i LOVE THAT photo of the your pupdog so much, you can feel
the special adventure!
and i hoped it was a favorite for you too!
say, new side-note, too:
while nearly done with that one, i just recently SAW some close-up cute pics, of that fun dog OF YOURS, so later down the line-- i will send a CLOSE-UP VIEW, just a bit bigger, and
on canvas...
it's a very paintable pupdog!
it would be fun to do!... i WANT to try his spotted coat,
try my hand at the that...
SAY, TIMID, and all:
got a few more pets to do, in spring...
so THANK YOU to those that have encouraged me on the pets!!
pets make neat and fun art, for sure!
they WORK very well, too, in between the larger ones,
that take a long time... :)
and critters, cats/dogs, hee hee, they are so nice to paint, since:
jaws, cheek bones, and such, are not looking
DIFFERENT from all those various angles, and:
the noses are much easier than humans!! :))
*hope it was not little, i was working on series of
SMALLER boards, this time...

hey there say, ... i had started a copy of a pic, that i saw too...
also, got three more critter surprise for
some other taco folks, out there, too...
even got one for my brother, mark, too!
and, just sent out two cats, as well...
so if any of you folks would love a
critter painting, just let me know, :)
well, back to doing EGGS now...
i am doing some of those wax-batik
slovic, ukrainian, polish, croatian, etc, etc, PAINTED eggs...
not too good at it yet... but i'm trying...
i can't get the little lines, THIN or straight from that wax-line-tool...
i think later, i just might OIL paint them, :))

that is a perfect size, there...
not to large for those that may not have wall space, and
and--a bit larger to show details...
i loved the SHADE in that photo!!
and the warm sun...
the orange in those two, made me feel the warmth of outside!!
say, here are the eggs that i am going to go back to do now:
see you all, a bit later, ... just 'got them chores' to do, :)) now:
*say, i'd like to find a way to send these, but i can't, since
the are raw... takes them a year or more?? to dry out...
they, on some occasions, can 'pop' and then stink...
the trouble is:
when i hollow them they break, :(
or--
if i hollow them sooner, they crack when i take the wax off... :(
but-- i could oil paint them after they are hollow...
and let them dry for next year, then--if some break-- i still might
get a few of those 'unwaxed' kinds, for later...
:))
WOW, SAY--JUST DID SOME HOLLOW versions and it did not break...
now, i have neebee-eggs to add to my artwork, :))

i just got back... my mom helped me with a miracle trip...
i feel whole again, hard to explain, but what i mean is, that
my kids are part of my life, in a new way now...
though, it is very sad, and hard for the loss of their
father, there are new things that had been 'nipped off'
that are growing back again, and perhaps better, as it
is in fresh new ways...
i saw the ex's friends and family and cousins (though
there are not many left, sadly, as to ageing) but,
they were most kind, so very kind to see me again,
after about, well, since 1998 ...
and my kids, where we only had half open doors, are now
understanding a few things, in deeper ways now...
i am forever thankful for this trip to be with them,
and to see everyone in south texas, again...
amen...
thank you again, for thinking of me...
it mean so much to 'have you buddies' like brothers,
in my corner, on the trail through live...

wonderful and sweet and good solid folks, jame and debbie!!! wow, i was so honored and BLESSED to meet them... wow, it was so special to have someone come see me, and get to meet them face to face, wow, wow, wow!! showed the ol' 'saved by supertopo robin shed' and the ol' fishponds and pets, and piano, AND--had lunch at my friend's son's restaurant, and saw the silversides sub and museum, and lake michigan, and--bright red leaves and even, local road-walking turkeys, (at my friend patty and john's-- and yep, we saw them, as well) ... THANK YOU JAMES AND DEBBIE!!! for such sweet kindness! very gracious and kinds!

Miss Neebee, I thought you would appreciate this story......... Sheridan is a packer in Tuolumne Meadows and was working for the stables when i lived up in the meadows ...In case you didn't know.. you have to backpack or hike to the High sierra camps and the food and supplies are sent up on mules.

While I don’t recommend getting ill, the Taco crowd sure does make it easier.
First flowers from the tribe and then a wonderful gift package from NeeBee.
Two lovely sail boat pins, for Mike and I, two lovely CDs to share and for me, and me alone a lovely little black bolero jacket. Just the perfect piece to go along with my LBD (little black dress)...every woman’s wardrobe staple.

I feel fortunate to be included in on Neebee's Christmas card list. I received mine as well. The effort and cash she shells out to do this for us is truly over the top and it comes from a pure heart. My humble question is when is the last time we have done something for her? I know that I am overdue. She has been very good to me and my girls.

hey there say, dickbob... not to worry... i don't need anything done ...
just knowing that i made a smile somewhere, is all that matters...
i've had so much help through the years, long ago, when things were hard...
and-- i've had times of no help, and just feeling VERY MUCH ALONE
in my quest for 'having anchors' in life...
so i KNOW both sides... thus:
i know the strength in sending out 'thank yous for friendship' and
'yes, someone cares' ... even if it is just spiritually, it can
really help...
one has to have 'walked the walk' to really KNOW...
many of us, have... thus, we are so thankful, and at least try to
pass it on, on life's trails...

wow, too, my SON will love to see these... he is a fisherman, so i will show him...

you DO all that i need, by just being the OPEN DOOR to this campfire

*actually, i feel i have neglected the ol' taco, lately, as,
i have a very ELDERY friend, that i have been helping ...
she is in lots of pain and hard for her to get around...
and-- she never knows how long she has... she is 95, maybe going on 96...
so, sometimes i am just 'on and off' here, lately...
but, i am here... :)
