Hey tacofolk,
I have been wondering for some years now, just what the route on the right of the big corner at the chapel wall is. It is probably 14-16m/45-50ft long, labeled "aid line" with a grade I just guessed an. I aided it spring 2010, using copperheads and one rivet down near the ground, to go up the seam to the anchor. There is a line of four or five shiny bolts that sorta follow the seam a bit to the left, does anyone know if that has gone free?

I have a note in my book that says, "Iconoclast" Scott Cole, 1982. It is an unfinished project as of 2005 as far as I know? Looks to be at the top end of the free climbing scale. Not sure if anybody has actively worked on it in some time. Hope that helps.

Are the bolts on or off for the aid line?

Always thought that line could possibly go free by someone really good.
Might be mistaken but I think Bengston tried it in the late eighties/early nineties.
Pretty amazing wall.

I nailed that line long ago. Later I believe someone added some rivets

Heathenistic pursuit felt burly.

That aid line looked way steep, free climb it...whoa.

the bolts marked on the photo are old rivets, the shiny, beefy ones are slightly right of the seam.

thanks for your help!
