hey there say, ... oddly, though johntp, the blizzard is past, and i think that chicago GOT WORSE snow, than if there was one...

*will have to check on that... though, for sure...

new york is getting hit, too, worse than that ol' blizzard predicted, and
BOSTON, where my 'stamp fairy' lives (near lilabien's OLD stomping grounds)
is getting 'snowed' up now AGAIN...

think? this is one of their snow messiest january-s...

not sure how the rest of the northeast coast is doing, yet...
hmmmm...

hope to hear 'general weather reports' now that the ol' blizzard-deal is
dealt out, ;)

hee hee, you need to use your homemade quilt that you got, johntp, :)

Got 14" on the ground now... No biggie though, just snow.

Public Service Announcement:

If you live in a place where you have to drive in the snow, do everyone a favor and buy some REAL snow tires, like Blizzaks. The difference between an all-season tire and the real deal is night and day. It's worth the money which is nothing compared to a single accident involving crumpled sheetmetal, let alone one involving broken bones.

hey there say, all... just wondering about you northeast coast states, etc...

i know a few of you are out that a way...

here is an update for boston... my friend out there, she keeps me informed...

us all, here, mich, have had a 'minor blizzard type thing' but so far, so good...

just light snow... but it is the winds, and cold, that make it bad for drivers...

IF YOU SCROLL DOWN, A BIT MORE... you WILL find more links, to the north eastern area situations...

boston note:
RECORDS CONTINUE FALLING

The winter of 2014-2015 continues to be historical, records falling with each and every storm. This event will undoubtedly take us to more places never before seen in more than 120 years of record keeping.

It is mind boggling just how much snow has fallen in such a short period of time, which bears the question, how much more can we possibly take? How much more could our atmosphere possibly have left?

And unfortunately there are no answers to those questions just yet. One thing is certain beyond this storm – the cold is going nowhere.

The next 1-2 weeks are going to remain frigid. This will likely be one of, if not the coldest February ever recorded. It is very possible that we could make it the entire month without one day above average.

There is no significant snow melt coming anytime soon.
