I like "theme" threads.

My testosterone is squirting all over the place. Hope I don't get cancer.

Please, excuse me. Here is a hanky.

Hello, I'm Amy Goodman and welcome to this week's edition of Democracy Now.

Yesterday the US Department of Studies released data claiming that low testosterone is responsible for an increase in butthurt and jimmy rustling among politards on the world famous rock climbing forum Supertopo. The report showed that there is correlation between low T and posting incessantly to off-topic threads, accompanied by a predominantly whiney attitude. Let's go to Juan Gonzales on location at Lembert Dome for more...

Still carries on the charade of being an actual rock climber

Could anyone here be guilty of that??

Locker: You seem to be here all the time but I hear you are able to text on route. I don't have this skill yet but I see Jaybro has been honing the skill for years and recently got his nose caught. Perhaps too Nosey at the time of his accident?

You want to talk testosterone? You need to talk about a walking tower of testosterone:
Robert James Fischer.

I like the moment when I break a man's ego.

There isn't a woman player in the world I can't give knights-odds to and still beat.

On women chess players:
They can't concentrate, they don't have stamina, and they aren't creative. They are all fish.

On his favorite thing about chess:
I like to watch them squirm.

From the best chess book ever written, My 60 Memorable Games:
When I was eleven, I just got good.

On the Russian grandmasters:
They have nothing on me, those guys. They can't even touch me. Some people rate them better than me. That really bugs me. They think that no Americans play chess. When I meet those Russian patzers I'll put them in their place.

And he did.
Fischer beat Taimanov by the score of 6–0..."It is difficult to portray to non-chess players the magnitude of such a shutout. A typical result between well-matched players might be, say, six wins to four, with nine draws". Upon losing the final game of the match, Taimanov shrugged his shoulders, saying sadly to Fischer: "Well, I still have my music". As a result of his performance, Taimanov "was thrown out of the USSR team and forbidden to travel for two years. He was banned from writing articles, was deprived of his monthly stipend... [and] the authorities prohibited him from performing on the concert platform". "The crushing loss virtually ended Taimanov's chess career". Fischer was next scheduled to play against Danish grandmaster Bent Larsen.

Fischer beat Larsen by the score of 6–0.

Then he beat former World Champion Petrosian 6˝–2˝ (+5−1=3).

Then Spassky...

Dick Cavett:
Among this year’s worst news, for me, was the death of Bobby Fischer. Telling a friend this, I got, “Are you out of your bloody mind? He was a Nazi-praising raving lunatic and anti-Semite. Death is too good for him.” He did, indeed, become all that. But none of it describes the man I knew. Towering genius, riches, international fame and a far from normal childhood might be too heady a mix for anyone to handle. For him they proved fatal. I’m still sad about his death. In our three encounters on my late-night show, I became quite fond of him.

I am the best player in the world, and I am here to prove it.

I'm don't know that there is a strong correlation between high T and large Ego. My point is more that, I do see a correlation between higher levels of T, and aversion to pointless whiney arguing online.

'Tis the season, I guess.
