Benji was super solid human who excelled in everything he did. He spent many years in Austin, Boulder, before settling into the Vail valley. An accomplished climber, MTB, cyclist, snowboarder/skier, and all around mountain dude. He spent many months in Rifle climbing and to quote him "I almost became the mayor". He climbed in old Mexico before it was cool. He was a solid contractor who was an absolute perfectionist. Benji never met a stranger and had more friends than you could ever imagine. I remember the day he came into my office looking for work in Vail, hired him on the spot.
Much more to say.... We lost a solid human for sure. Happy I was able to do some bouldering with him this fall when passing through town.

Preliminary, natural cause in his sleep. Nothing else I can say , but way too young. He was super fit and strong but sometimes your heart just stops beating....
He was a great friend to many

Sad news. This has been a hell of a year for the Tex Mex Colorado climbers. We'll miss you Benji.

Benji was a great friend, we used to camp all over Texas, off us 380, Palo Pinto Texas, used to go hunting in Ponder and Jacksboro Texas, go hiking camping Big Bend, Skatebording down high road, riding in Petes Volvo, trying to fix fuses with foil he was the Dude, greatest friend ever, and I miss him more than most, may he restin peace bro, a companion lost We will miss him,
