That's great Wilbeer. I'm truly happy for you. Strangely warm and dry here in Wyoming right now. I'm off to BC tomorrow for a week at this hut.

Indeed. A day last week of Randonee in Crawford Notch. The extreme sub zero cold, guarantees dry powder, straight through 4 feet ( 1M) deep. The winds, blow all of the snow into the trees.

Vermont, where we did 5 days of skiing, was somewhat warmer and less windy. It was only subzero a couple of days.

Norm Larson, post up some better pictures of BC when your there,Man ....................

That hut picture is something.

I have never skied in BC ,One of these days.....It looks absolutely EPIC.

I hope you and yours enjoy yourselves!

And thanks for blessing this thread with your great pictures.

The above looks like what I saw today,White everywhere you looked.

Totally whipped and smoking a beer with big smiles to all.

Edit;Skinning, breaking trail in deep powder is a great workout, easily twice what cycling is,climbing on the other hand seems to be a whole different muscle group, this spring is going to hurt with all this skiing going on....lol

With the really good snow we are having ,I do not think it matters.

It is about getting after it.

It is funny though ,I am about to go to Colorado and I talked to some friends

And they want to come here.

Cheers Nick.

^ hopefully, Norm gets that kind of snow, east side. but latest report from the Selkirks:

"Warming again here. What a goofy season. It’s either too warm to snow or too cold."

Actually I think it is 5...you gotta have one who gives props for doing it the hard oldskool way!

I see you are from Mammoth...I had my funniest ski day there back in 2002 or 03...

There was the TTips ski demo which was cranked to 11 in pure Shaka value and more poney tails than High Plains Drifter... I am demoing some skis and end up on the lift with another dude demoing and he was familiar with the area so he offered to show me a run. It was fun and he had this crazy low style..so low that at times he would do this funky double-punch into the sky to kinda get momentum for going back up and switching skis....so on the lift ride back up, I had to ask about it. His reply...

No big air for you guys up in Montana eh?! If you go big, you'd know why... after this he stopped talking to me. I dug.

maybe you know him? he could have been an L-Alien, not sure if he was a local
