I mean, really?

The last place I expected to run into old-school trad-daddy climbers was an hour hike into a bouldering area! LOL!

I for sure got the smack-down today.

Humbling, really.

Old trad daddys often hike that far to boulder. You were fooled because they didn't have pads. They probably had instep crampons for slippery areas, once they get to a boulder they turn them spiky side up to make the landing zone real.

Beck famously had trolled touron chicks with the story of the vines on Half Dome one day, but only after he'd convinced them that climbers rub their hands across the rock to get them to grip better.
