Get an REI card and use it once (no minimum purchase) and REI will give you a 100 dollar gift card. It is not a bad credit card, 5% reward for REI purchases and 1% on all others.

I rarely spend money at REI but I keep a membership because they send some nice promotions occasionally. This year they sent me a coupon for 15 dollars off a 50 dollar purchase. Got a nice Marmot daypack I had my eye on. I think that was my only REI purchase all year, but I will buy a can of stove fuel to get my gift card.

I use my REI card for most everything and pay it off every month, no interest. I used the $100 bonus on my sweet Nikon binos.
My dividend next year will be stout.

Yeah, we used it towards buying a new rope.
It's a US Bank card, FYI.
