El Taco people:
Below is a link to some other pics of the Alabamas and preparations for a grand tour through the Mojave desert this winter. Consider this an "on-topic +" post. Nothing political, scatological, or pornographical. Just USDA choice climbing and adventure oriented content.

Thanks!
Why do you 'sign off' your posts "BAd"? Is this supposed to be something? Is that you're name? Are you sending emails?

@GDavis: BAd is short for "Bad Climber," my avatar/screen name.
Re. route:
We'll UHaul our trike and gear to Lone Pine and pedal over the Panamints and Town Pass to DV. From there it's due south and out of the valley via Sallsbury Pass. Then we keep noodling south--Shoshone, Baker, Kelso, Amboy, crossing Hwys 15 and 40 to finally land in 29 Palms. Then we shoot west to JT (the town first) where we'll chill for a couple of nights before motoring through the park. On leaving Cottonwood Springs in the south, there's a rarely traveled road that blasts down through a cool canyon all the way to the Salton Sea. In Indio we'll pick up a UHaul to take us home. Simple. Except for all those brutal passes, but that's where the marrow of the journey is found, eh?
