I had a built in one in a prior car. Grandkids fav......"Gma Lynne, go the wrong way so the lady will yell at you." :) (the GPS had a female voice.)

Cosmic, did you get it to navigate the streets of Vegas? I know you know where you are in the wilderness. Cheers! L.

"in one hundred feet turn left"
"turn left now'
"have you called your Mother this week?"
"turn left".
"did you remember to feed the cat?'
"turn right in one block".
"I think you left the oven on"
"turn right at next intersection".
"are you still eating that?"
"drive straight for one mile".
"how come you never remember my birthday?"
"continue for three miles."

Remember that parental standby, "If your friends jumped off a cliff, would you?"
This cracked me up! I was wearing a seat belt, thank heaven!

Why would anyone buy a GPS for a car in this day and age? Google Maps for your android phone, free with navigation included.

Yep. As Sonny sang to Cher, and Cher sang back to Sonny,

"Things keep goin' faster all the time."

Especially so in terms of electronic conveniences.

I want a new toy, Santa!

iPad Air with Retina Display, please, nothing else will do.

(And, Nick, any old set of wheels would be welcome as a "good boy" bonus, including a '41 Buick with Fossil Climber's initials carved into the steering wheel.)

Dunno...Google maps on my droid works really well (as long as I'm in cell service range).

The dashmounted option would be helpful, though- nice to be able to keep eyes closer to the road while driving.

Perhaps instead just spend the $80 on a better phone? Google maps is not perfect either (it does however make less mistakes than I would without it) but they do update streets faster than just about anyone. I'm in a similar business.. A good android phone makes life so much easier than using a map or an outdated GPS unit. Plus it can do so much more.

For example I can talk to a customer, take notes for the appointment and look up their location in order to schedule properly all on one unit all at the same time. When I get there i can take pictures of the job.. I can send messages with a map picture and notes on it .. blah blah .. suffice to say.. My phone actually pays for itself ..more than pays for itself.

Yeah, Cosmic the whole map upgrade thing is a racket. We have Garmins, and it's the same deal.

How do you talk and take notes on the same phone at the same time? Makes no sense at all. I can't even look up a number without dropping the call. But then, I can't figure out how to upload pictures from my phone to facebook from my phone. It just don't work.

Cosmic, do you need help washing windows? I need a job and am feeling great. I'll navigate, hahaha.

I also can't navigate with such a small screen. I need at least what a 17" laptop shows. Too used to maps, you know, the large folding paper things?

I thought Dwain knew where he was....maybe not?

My best friend growing up (and still my best friend other than my wife) had a sign over his bed reading "I never get lost. Everyone keeps telling me where I can go."

Don't think I could handle Apple Valley. Lander, maybe, but only if locker was not too close, glue fumes and all..................

Edited: It IS an awesome offer. I came very close to calling. Absolutely should have.
So sorry Cosmic, and thank you, thank you, thank you.

Now we need a dash-mounted COZMEEK CAM to attend the aforementioned GPS unit !!!

I'll buy him a gopro to put on the dash just to see what tie dye of the day he is wearing. Dood is a fashion plate and I need all the help I can get.
