Beer:30 is any number of minutes after you were ready for a beer yet did not yet have one.. It is also 10 minutes prior to and 10 minutes following 4:20. The greater the number of minutes passed the lower your standard for what beer you will drink..right on down to ....

a hypothetical time of day uttered in response to the question of "what time is it." when consumption of said malted beverage becomes an event that is either inevitable or required to proceed with life as we know it in modern society. No other time expression exists with beer in it, ie. there is no beer fifteen, or quarter to beer, there is also not a half past a beer or beer forty five. If it is not exactly beer thirty when someone asks you just say its getting close to beer thirty.

You were there in spirit, Skully. At one point I asked Ghost if he had ever met Skully and told him about our fun in the sun at COR. Good times and the door is always open and my clock is stuck somewhere between four twenty and beer thirty.

?
Also, another marker of beer thirty is when the person who's got it in their pack decides it's time for it not to be in their pack!
