There's a sort of strange post on Mountain Project about GeerCoop is offering to open up their reserved group site at Sheep Pass to whomever.... This is for the Thanksgiving timeframe, but it says they will have other dates in future. I would assume over the time you are coming.

I am not sure if it is kosher from the park admin's perspective, but...anyway - here is the thread.

Your timing isn't the best. The back country thing is an option, but not advisable with a dog. The fines in the park have sky rocketed recently and if you get caught, it's gonna hurt.

That gearcoop thing on mountain project sounds a bit sketchy. Depends on whether they are charging or not.
