That was a well-filmed and edited video. Thanks.

At the end, there is Episode 3 of Epic and it features some fine boarding off the I-80 drop. The very last run is of Lonnie Kauk, who sticks the best jump of the entire video...amazing stuff.

I believe this is Lonnie, wearing the "new black" jacket on the left, and I think his brother (not sure) and Julia Parker, his gramma, and Ursula, her oldest daughter. This was in September at Facelift in front of the Yosemite Museum.

Very nice! Very heady, but very very nice. Really helps me get on my piddly azzed stuff. Re learning to get my head in the right place again, and these guys obviously can do it.

Fun to watch, and I browsed over to this:
http://www.epictv.com/media/podcast/these-skiers-first-descent-was-really-cool-their-film-is-freaking-amazing-%7C-watch-your-step-ep-1/274434?b=1

I had never seen ski descents with rappels in the middle.

Nice photo mFm,
I see them over here at times, and always respect their privacy.
Will never forget seeing Bachar and Lonnie talking outside of MMS one afternoon.

There is younger brother too -
could be hell to pay.
EDIT:
I think his brother (not sure)
Lonnie not in the photo, the kid in black jacket is his younger brother IMO.

How many folks have done that thing sans rope anyway?

Looks to be serious bizness.

You just lay your whole life before it, and everything will be fine.

LK with no spotters, maybe half the pads. Impressive.

Didn't one of the staff at Berkeley Ironworks send this? Or was the Evilution? Might have been the latter.

Incredible stuff. Good showing of technique, mental focus and strength. Cool clips of him snowboarding too.

Le_Bruce, Mirko from Planet Granite sent the Evilution.

That's right. I was remembering incorrectly this article on the third and fourth ascents of Too Big to Flail:

http://www.touchstoneclimbing.com/news/16-climbing-news/694-too-big-to-flail

Good article, two different mental approaches to a scary line.
