I saw they were going to televise all the games from last time the Dodgers won the world series on Sports Nation LA, and that the were going to see if they could colorize it... 1988 was a long time ago.

Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw wins third Cy Young Award by unanimous vote
http://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgers/dodgersnow/la-sp-dn-dodgers-clayton-kershaw-wins-cy-young-20141112-story.html
"Receiving all 30 first-place votes submitted by the Baseball Writers Assn. of America, Kershaw became one of only nine pitchers to win three or more Cy Young Awards. The others: Sandy Koufax, Tom Seaver, Jim Palmer, Steve Carlton, Roger Clemens, Greg Maddux, Pedro Martinez and Randy Johnson."
Unanimous. Unanimous.
As in: Bumgarner's name was about as intriguing as yours, KP.

Kershaw is awesome. I saw this quote about him
Before we go any further, let's start with this: You can make an argument that this was the greatest postseason pitching performance the game has ever seen.
oh, wait...

Don Newcombe had one of the best rookie seasons in history in 1949, winning the Rookie of the Year award after finishing 17-8 with a 3.19 earned-run average and a league-leading five shutouts. He followed that up with 19-11 and 20-9 seasons, before missing two years because of military service during the Korean War.
Any comparisons between the Mad Bum and THIS guy, would have to be weighed carfully. Any comparisons with this guy (nineteenth best all-time Dodger, according to one poll) and Kershaw, same thing. Where Kershaw fits is up to the Dodger fans.
As usual, the time frames make valid comparisons moot. Season length, quality of opponents...the list of variables is pretty big.
Congratulations to the K Man.
Fck the fckn Dodgers.

apogee is one of the lucky Dodger fans...he can remember the last time the Dodgers were in the WS. Think of all of those poor college kids who bleed blue that weren't even born the last time they were in.
