Planet Granite again steps up HUGE and is hosting a fundraiser on November 19 at Planet Granite San Francisco. Alex Honnold is the speaker and there will be a live auction with all proceeds up to 20k matched by PG. Yes!
You guys can help by: telling a friend showing up November 19 (FYI its free and there may be free coffee and beer… or at least there was in psst years) donating gear to our online auction (see below) if you have connections to sweet new outdoor/climbing gear we can get donated to the live auction, please let me know. post below or send me or Greg Barnes a message

If you have anything worth more than $50 that fits in a 2 x 2 box, please ship it to us and the ASCA will give you a tax deduction letter and sell it on eBay with 100% of the proceeds being matched by Planet Granite and going to the ASCA.
I’m donating my motorcycle trailer, a bunch of outdoor gear and a complete collection of supertopo books. Getting rid of stuff i haven’t used, getting a nice tax deduction and supporting the ASCA - WIN WIN WIN

I have a beautiful 16"x9" metal print (inset frame) of this photo that I'd be willing to donate. I'm not sure if the online auction would work as well as the live auction for a print. Let me know if you'd like it.
Let's let Chris & the PG folks decide, I think they want to keep the live auction a bit shorter than last year, but that sure looks like a great live auction item!
Right now just the trailer has all the money going to the ASCA but in the next week, OutdoorGearLab will donate more items to the ASCA to help get to the $20

Great event at Planet Granite last night with Alex. We all got to see another side of Alex; his recently formed charity and how he is working to bring solar power to Navajo Indians and looking to continue that effort abroad. Cool!
hey there say, bhilden... i remember long years ago, how there was a program somewhere, to raise money for either heating or stoves for cooking, for navajos... years later, i wanted my jake books to sell, so i could set money into those programs... never did work out that way...
thus, i am over joyed, that alex is getting to do this help, that is in his heart... thanks for sharing...
