I work mosrly on my art of late but also work on my book at times. My friends are always in my mind, though I am lousy of late at keeping people up to date...

hey there say, pat...

say, i been keeping up, watching your art, at the ol' facebook...
and say, it encouraged me to push into myself getting more of my landscapes, into action, as, i miss them...

but, i still love trying to tackle learning the portraits, so:
i am putting my portraits into landscape surroundings, now...

though, still, if i find a special photo for a gift to someone, i may keep those, as is, for them...

but--you have encouraged me to not neglect the other part of my painting that i love...

thanks for posting your work, one artist, sharing, does a multitude of good, not just for himself, as to growing as he reflects while sharing, but:
a multitude of good, to those that get 'spurred onward'...

keep up the great job of being--YOU...

happy good eve, as it is soon to be...

and happy means many things, even if we may not feel 'happy' as to one 'point of reference' there are so many happy-faucets that, one will always fit us, for any given situation, :)

i been through this, of recent, when i was not feeling well at all, and getting dejected... god found ways to show me which 'happy faucets' were still mine, >:D<

mr ament i am nobody
but i am proud of your
wide-wide tales and your varied
journey as it takes you thru
understanding, as trying as it might be.

Layton. royal. el dorado canyon.
lumpy ridge. hope. despair.
health and struggle.

and best of all, with your writing you capture all of it
acutely between hearts and minds everywhere,
including mine.

I'm not much of an appreciator of visual arts, but there is something compelling about that picture. It strikes a nice balance of evoking emotion or showing some depth, with a minimalist approach.

Excellent. This is a face that is confident, strong, self-reliant ,and full of the dark mystery of being. And yet those words are inadequate. There is something more that I can't quite express. The "more" is the darker mystery.

neebee, do you mean something of this nature?

I wrote this last year, Pat. You made me do it.
I remember our little bit of correspondence much earlier and you were very congenial. So thanks.

The Crescent Arch March
--for Pat Ament

In a Dream of White Courage
I tried my best to discourage
A new trend that I saw.

Now I lay my chalk away
And to the Lord Belay I say:
Take this now and for all days.
This is what old Mousie must say:
If with chalk you must play,
Just use plain old white or gray.

In a whirlwind of white dust
We climb the climbs we must.
And don't forget your quick-draws
For that's now one of the laws
Of the climbing police.

Yeah I'd like to see more too.

I already know and have read much of your writing, and certainly have slotted my hands and feet into some of the same holes and holds...but more of this type of your art would be cool to see as well!
