I ordered a couple items through coloradocrackgear.com and they immediately charged my card, 3 days later they emailed me and said the items are not in stock and they would refund the money, which never happened. I emailed them about it and have not heard anything. Hopefully my credit card company will take care of things. . .after I fill out their multi page report. . .

I've ordered from them many times and never heard a problem. I had a helmet from them that was cracked upon arrival so I called up got a call back that day and they shipped me a new helmet before getting the broken one back. Solid company and great service in my experience. Maybe they're on a climbing trip? Someone from the company occasional post here about sales...search the site and send a PM to that account.

EDIT: its "whittlesticks" that posts about the sales they have.

I've ordered from them without issue. He has been very responsive to e-mails. My guess is that it is climbing season and he's out for a few days. I'm confident you will get your money back.

No I have had great service from them prior and prompt phone calls back. I'd do service with them again.

I've ordered several times and it's always gone well for me. I'll order again. It's easy to find a 20% code for him on MP.com, so it's really just a matter if it's in stock - if so, he gets my order. Never an issue with something showing as in stock and it turns out it's not.

While debits to my CC show up on the internet almost instantaneously, credits usually take 3-5 days. Has it been that long yet?

Well Scott, that's what you get for not buying from your local shop. JK, hope you get your $$$ back, buddy.

Todd, you don't even have the harness I was buying in stock!!! I ended up buying it from a friend of mine's shop in Logan. . .

It's been a week since they said they would refund the money. . .

No problem, just giving you a hard time.

Out of curiosity, what did you get? Harnesses have been tough for us to figure out. When we've stocked nicer/more expensive ones in the past, they never sold well for us.

BD big wall harness. Not something very many shops carry, which is probalby why they are always on sale online!

It's prime climbing season. That usually plays a huge factor as far as small climbing shops are concerned.

Just an optimistic thought.

No word from CCG, but my credit card company is taking care of it. I'm sure the climbing season has something to do with it, but they should have processed the return of moneys the same day they emailed to cancel the order. . . I prefer companies, like backcountrygear.com, that don't charge until they ship the item.

Ive gotten some great deals from them (cobras for $200 each...), always had great service and shipping speed and never had any issues. I think it might just be the one guy running it, so I'd bet he's just on a climbing trip or something.

Love my BD big wall harness.
Liked their first edition even better, quit trying to make stuff better when it works.

Not sure about other states, but in CA, they can't charge your CC until they ship the product.
