Come see the best climbing movie of the year (or decade) and support the American Safe Climbing Assn.Sender Films, who I feel create the best action sport films of any sport, have released their biggest work to date: Valley Uprising. It chronicles the history of climbing and base jumping in Yosemite. Its been a huge project spanning many years. The historical footage, interviews and story telling are top notch.
This isn’t one of those events where “a (slight) portions of the proceeds go to…”. Nope, ALL of the proceeds go to the ASCA. So this is kinda a big deal.
I’m sure most of you guys are familiar with Sender Films, but if you are not, they kick ass. They are not the typical action sports production company that does the exhausted format of 8 athletes and 8 short music videos going 5% bigger than they did in last years very similar film. Instead, Sender has all the great footage and music, but then actually puts together compelling stories.
The trailer is below and here are some reviews, I hope to see you there!
Thanks for coming out! Great crew and yes, that Anchor IPA just seemed to get better and better. I think we raised 2k+. Sports basement and all you ASCA supporters out there rock!
