Too Cool!
Like most people, there are one or two artists that seem to be able to write songs that might have sprung from the listener's own mind.
Jackson Browne has been that way for me. Late For The Sky (and earlier records) seemed to sing my mind; just in a far superior voice. One of those albums that you reach for throughout your lifetime and one that brings solace in times of struggle. James Taylor is another who connects in the same way.

Jackson Browne could be considered the poet laureate of his generation. His compositions were beautiful and full. His phrasing was rooted more in jazz than rock or folk. Most of all, listening to Jackson, then and now, takes me back to a time when we were innocents in a complex world.

When I was living on the road, sleeping in unlocked cars on Used Car lots, and finding meals in dumpsters, Jackson Browne music seemed to strike a common chord. His words seemed to be the poetry of my life.
These days, dealing with the problems of these days...the songs seem as relevant as ever.
...well I'll just keep moving.

Marty, That is so cool!!....Is the little concert going to be on Tiny desk? . I'm a Big fan of Tiny desk concerts and a Bigger fan of Jackson Browne.. His music has helped me through many dark days and good times..
Yesterday at Strawberry Music Festival ..i was listening to a 19 year old woman named, Hannah Kile sing~ Your Bright baby blues. Her voice and rendition of his song is flat out amazing .. .magical and ..beautiful.. Wish Jackson Browne could hear her sing it...

Very cool Marty!! Browne was always a favorite of mine and I have seen him many times since the "Saturate before Using" album. Late for the Sky followed by Pretender are my favorites!

Sure wish I could have heard that. Your Bright Baby Blues is one of my favorite JB songs. Probably because I spent so much time sitting on the side of the road with my thumb out. Oh, the bittersweet memories of a mis-spent youth.
I've got a five hour drive ahead of me next Tuesday. I think I'll put on jackson for the trip to Facelift.
