I'm curious on the Access Funds response to the 'Rock Climbing' portion of the New NPS Wilderness plan. Open comment time has expired and there's some interesting things. I know that the AF sent a rep out last year to talk to the park here in SEKI. I may have missed any reporting already but thought I'd ask??

Thanks for the link Goatboy. I was looking for that very thing. I know the Access Fund is very interested in the New Plan. With all the NPS budget cuts over the years its hard to imagine anything but the most blatant stuff getting enforced.

After reading that article and the SEKI plan in looks like the SEKI wilderness plan pretty much follows DO #41 from the NPS. Basically saying they won't remove bolts but they should be placed sparingly and only with a permit.

I kinda want to apply for a permit to place a few bolts on a new route I'm willing to give up just to see how it goes.
