Mr E

Happy to know you like your new home.

Do you know who/how the new trail up/down got made?

I owe them....

The old trail was like 2 steps up- one down, two more up, one back, made it hard to count.

Dwain.... Hi, Hi?

I find myself counting steps in groups of 100 when suffering a bit when walking out of the mountains. I won't allow myself to look down the trail until a thousand steps. Don't know if it helps, but it seems to keep my mind off my aching feet, back, and shoulders.

Not as good at counting as I was when I was 10. Couldn't seem to get to 100 without losing my concentration on my last trip. Maybe early onset Alzheimer's.

I did traffic counting in rural Alaskan villages at one job. Fortunately it was one of the rubber tube types, so we just set it up and left rather than sitting there counting quads going by. Some of those counts were pretty damn' low.

I once estimated how many eggs that I've cracked. The number made me not want know how many eggs that I've cracked. I'll never do that again.

Other than that I often count my breaths. It a good technique for meditation.

Wapner in 5:28....

Charlie: Who took this picture?
Raymond: D-A-D.
Charlie: And you lived with us?
Raymond: Yeah, 10962 Beachcrest Street, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Charlie: When did you leave?
Raymond: January 12, 1965. Very snowy that day. 7.2 inches of snow that day.
Charlie: Just after Mom died.
Raymond: Yeah Mom died January 5, 1965.
Charlie: You remember that day. Was I there? Where was I?
Raymond: You were in the window. You waved to me, "Bye bye Rain Man", "Bye bye."

We also count our climbing days and location every year on a calendar - just forgot that one thing in the house on the move. Oh, well - it's another year soon.

Guy, I was wondering about those steps! I remember the slip-slide...did some searching on-line and came up with not much.

Care to tell the story?

But I count pretty much everything. Weird.

For sure. Are counters dependable? I know two counters. One is a female 26, the other a male 53ish. They both can really be counted on.
