Imagine if he put that energy towards something that actually matters.
Right, any Malaria victims in the room should be righteously pissed off.

What an asshat thing to say WTF.
No difference in any of us spending a day hiking, running, biking, climbing, or wasting leisure time on the Taco.
I know....'if you don't have anything good to say, don't feed the troll...'

Superman is right! So rowdy. How many did Cedar Wright do? Probably only like 185, mewww... kidding, kidding.... so far beyond me. I usually shoot for 10 pitches a day, that's a good day.

I like reading about Alex and his accomplishments.
He is in his prime - young, strong and at the absolute top of his game.
He is living his dream life, no office job, wears what he wants, lives out of his van,
probably has good income by now from his sponsors and has the respect and admiration of the entire climbing community.
May he just keep on doing what he loves without having to justify his worth to society.

Isn't the real challenge to climb the difficulty of your age? I'll be impressed when he climbs a 5.29a.
In real life, stuff like this does inspire me to raise my standards. "If honnold can do 290 pitches in a day I can do 2.9!" Or something like that.

I'm very impressed with this articulate, thoughtful person. How many of us have started their own non-profit foundation and contribute to and assist worthy causes? He gives climbers a good name. 290 routes in a day! Wow.

Does this add up to more vertical feet than his other big linkups? 290 15m pitches = "only" about 72 60m pitches. Me I consider it a big day if I get 10 pitches in.

If you dont appreciate this man, who combines beyond awesome, in fact rather God-like, climbing with being a genuinely Good human, you are missing an opportunity to look honestly at yourself in the mirror and find places in which you need to grow. (Some trolls must be fed.)

Mike- They said he did 150 Apron pitches. Average Apron pitch is at least 50m. Some a little shorter, some longer. Your average Smoke Bluffs route where he accomplished the rest of the pitches is about 25m, once again, some longer, some shorter..
So
150x50=7500m morning on the Apron...
140x25=3500m afternoon at the Smoke Bluffs!
11,000m day!! That's 5.5 Chief laps!! :)

Big Mike, just going off what they said in the article. but if your figures are correct and he did 11,000m. 11,000m would be much more than 5.5 laps on the Chief wouldn't it? I thought the Chief was 2000ft, 11,000m= around 36,000ft that would be like 18 laps.
Holy sh#t my head is spinning
