Sources are a bit slim on detail, but she was apparently climbing with no pro, with her fam, and fell to her death. Prob not what one would call a climber? Or am I mistaken?

How did you read it? It wouldn't let me scroll down past the f*#king AARP ad at the top of the page.

I'm familiar with the Mill Creek Day Use area. There are nearby short rocky cliffs right above the crashing waves ---while not being very high are nevertheless very slimy and slippery and perhaps a little too accessible for the casual hiker--- since they are easily approachable from directly below the common picnic area . In other words, you can walk from a picnic table right over to the top of the cliff.
RIP and condolences.
Must have been awful for her on-looking family.

hey there say, all... very very sad to hear this...
i know we have all enjoyed the adventure of the coast, inland ridges, etc, from picnics and all that, and trails, and many of us, even as kids, have took to climb something or other--
never does one suspect what could be there, as to loose rock, slippery areas, etc... i am very sad for her family, that this took place...

condolences, and prayers for her loved ones... :(
