Whenever I make a long post I find it shuts everyone down. I guess
I need to learn how to say it in a short space. I don't think I
ever learned how, unless it would be in poetry...

It was nice to see Pat's daughter helping out with the show. My climbing partner scored a CD of Pat's music in the pre-show raffle. Nice!

missed this thread-- haven't been on st much lately.
nice to hear some news.
i climbed once with mort hempel, years ago, back in my very first year of climbing. but i can barely pull those memories up now

John, thanks. I don't know how I got such amazing kids. They're
off the charts at school, straight A+ students, great humor and
creativity, too smart to even give anyone a sense of it. Maren is a very
fine pianist and singer, perfect pitch....

Keep writing Pat, nothing is "to long". You write from your heart with passion, it is inspiring. Threads like this are ST gold. I look forward to more, maybe the book.

I actually prefer the longer ones where you speak personally in more detail.
