i was about to suggest
that you go f*#k with the
dead (graffiti allen ginsberg's
tombstone)
but then i realized
that one shouldn't f*#k
with the dad
and where's the humor in that?

Tuesday is possible?

ah man, i was hoping like a fool.
only fools hope.

we coulda writ up a sweet trip report:

"stumbling thru the filth"

we could both dive off the wagon
at high speed and skid
to a stop on our cheeks;

we'd take forever climbing fantasia
and the SAR would mobilize
and the media would gather on
top, and here comes dingus robbins
rapping down from the rim:

"do you guys need a rescue?"

us: come now, dingus. relax.
tie in here. have a pabst.

....

some other time, i guess.

perhaps tuesday.
i need to make some serious
headway on my project this weekend,
so if all goes efficiently,
i'll climb on tuesday.

i'll let you know on saturday.

Wow. The likeness between you two Jebus and DMT leads me to think DMT will say like,

"Jebus, I am your father" (or at least older brother)

"Join me, and we can take selfies together"

Good stuff. I'm a sucker for a good Space/(Rock) Opera.

Follow up:

Stubborn, 5.8

See that thing over there?

Yes, THAT one.

Been wanting to walk over there for some time… quite some time.

We appear to be making it happen.

Up close the rock wasn’t as stellar as imagination and hope would suggest…

Protocols must be observed.

It was tricky at the start and I had to aid to get the 2nd piece in or risk a grounder out in the bush. I was able to do the moves once the pro was solid.

Once the route was done we wandered up a trail to a cool bridge. More granite goodness in this area.

This was the theme for the day….

It is a choice spot for some lunch.

Wash the dust off the feet

Get ready for the walk back to camp

Man I sure do like that bridge.

Well that was about it. Stubborn is about 5.8 and has lots of hand jams, good ones. Rock isn’t that great so I wouldn’t recommend it but there’s other stuff to do there including a stout widish one. We called it stubborn because I am, and I figured I had to climb something after walking all that way ;)
