Jeremy's mom, for Klaus
Better tell that little nazi to take a number and go stand at the end of the line.
Bummer news, one of my favorite towers in the Fishers.

Yikes!! I guide AA all the time! We've been talking a lot, lately about throwing in a lap on the Cobra!
Scary parallels with tradman's "Cleaver"!

Thanks! I took that photo last spring. I never really wanted to climb it but it was cool to look at. I saw it getting top rope gang banged a few weeks ago.

I've done Cobra many many times. A few years ago a guy told me that both he and his partner were on top, maybe even a third person, and they felt the upper block shift. I'd never had more than myself on top just because it looked like it could go at any time....
BTW - Jeremy and I have El Cap plans in October - maybe I'll coax him in to writing one of his fun TR's...

Looks like Cliven Bundy's militia shot it off its pedestal, I saw an ATV towing it back to Nevada.

Bye, bye Cobra. You were short and sweet and destined for a short life (geologically speaking).

While this is a very sad setback for those of us who have climbed or just enjoyed this tower, I'm pretty sure this falls in the climber's ethical category of "it was essential to the route before it fell off, so it's okay to glue it back on," right?
