I was there for a family reunion earlier in the summer. My cousins took me to Cherokee Rock for hiking and some bouldering, nothing technical, but beautiful and lots of fun. Worth checking it out.

Thanks to der inter webs I'm planning to get to Steele with someone on Sunday. I'm still looking for a partner this Saturday if anyone is in the region though! I'm renting a car for the weekend so want to make the most of it!

Alabama is bad any time of the year so, at least, you don't have to worry about being there in the wrong season.
