Russ ain't coming back. Not to this f*#king playpen of the ignorant. What is there to come back to? There's whiners everywhere, stacks of entitlement babies on NorthFace infused foaming overload, and to call the resident buffoons c#&%s does a disservice to actual c#&%s. Wading back in to witness the festering sore that is the Apogee and Ron show, with Apogee hopelessly and permanently connected to Rons anus, and never more than two posts away? Maybe I could do a back an forth with some Trolls that always lead to hollow threats from men with no names and no balls? Obviously SuperTopo is not a camp fire, or most of those clowns would be on a strained peas diet for a couple of months. Perhaps I can come back and then click on a trip report and see a selfie of some syphilitic anus loaded with carbuncles and roids? Or maybe a good topic will actually show up and then quickly get dragged down with the incessant keyboarding of maybe nine idiots that should probably be in a drooling tard home far away from electronics? Maybe the real scientists could get a word in on the science or gear threads between the transvestite pics, idiots, poltroons, and the big thinking harassers that carried 1.66 in their arduous three years of HIgh School? And the Pinkos.... don't get me started on the Pinkos who have one hand in my pocket and two lips on Baracks member. The Dr. F lockstep unit of limp dicks is enough of a reason to stand back and just watch, with no TFPU.

I unfortunately DIDN'T miss the perverted porn attacking Chris Mac. I also agree that legal action IS necessary, since Chris has a financial interest in this site, upon which many of his guidebook sales depend. As others have said, we've all probably seen some of this schitt before, but I don't frequent S-T expecting to have that sort of garbage rubbed in my face. There are plenty of other sites available to those with that kind of tastes.
Maybe the idea of quarantining the first 5 or so posts from newly registered users for Moderator review is in order? I know others have made similar suggestions, but maybe we need to develop a team of volunteer moderators to deal with unwanted fecal material from hitting the screens?

Locker, in Kalifornia penal code section 502 covers exactly this kind of thing.
The problem is he ain't in KA.
There is not anything in that code that applies to this situation.
The nut posted some objectionable material, he did not try to take down the website or disrupt its services, data, or limit access. We are not talking about some kid disrupting Amazon, Ebay or some other powerhouse, this is just a climbing website.

Hey, so why don't you guys post up some photos of Matt Gilchrist? This has been a highly effective strategy in the past.
Example: Ammmon posting a photo of Jim Beyer after Jim chopped the bolts on Wall of Early Morning Light.

You know what the commonality of people like Matt is, right? They are inherently cowards. If they ever see you in person, they will RUN in the opposite direction.

I dare either of those two women to respond to this post. Both of them turned tail and ran in terror when they saw me nearby, one in the El Cap Meadows, and the other during Facelift. Both know the situation I refer to. Cowards. I would love to relate the story, you guys would laugh your asses off. I have witnesses who saw both. I despise internet cowards. But they won't respond.
Never met Matt. Wonder why he would choose to attack me? Never met the other two, either, which was always a source of mystery to me.

Posting objective or subjective material that caused distress is very hard to prove.
This thread is more of a callout/threat to the dbag than an actual legal case that will be followed through.
Seems to have worked so far at keeping him away.

While hollywood may make you think that, the reality is any basic proxy server (many of which are perfectly free) will allow you to do this incredibly easily. IP banning is ineffective for that reason. Any 13 year old banned from his favorite online game knows how to use a proxy server.

Did you see the TRs that supposedly involved CMac? That certainly was harassment targeting Chris and ST.
While hollywood may make you think that, the reality is any basic proxy server (many of which are perfectly free) will allow you to do this incredibly easily.
I know that, and also a bit about Matt's tech skills.

Before any web owner goes out and calls people law breakers they damn well better have their ducks in a row.
A restraining order, for one. A Lawyer with a clear pathway to conviction, for another. Because anything less could be seen as harassment toward Mathew himself. Not the other way around....And with it, any chance at a legal argument in your behalf is out the window.
This thread is stupid on many levels. Not to mention a seriously rookie business move...

Yes I did and it was in very bad taste but unless ST is willing to upgrade its system they will just have to learn to deal with it since the guy is in NZ.
Or just keep it the same and face this crap every few years.
So far between Rajmit, Rokjox, Crowley and now Matt this is all very low frequency bs and will probably fall off the radar eventually.
