There are some really smart, perceptive, observant people here...
This is the climbing world. There is not one feeble brain among us.
Some seem to have gone over to the dark side. There are reasons for this and this should carry some weight, but this IS a business, and businesses don't like to consider personal issues. It is not their business.
It is too bad that the freaks abound. All the world's a freak show, and all the freaks don't climb, so be glad of that.
If you feel the need to do something besides banning these assbites like Gilcrist, think too, "There but for the grace of God am I."
Good luck with the international aspect of the problem, too.
Probably ain't a dang thing anyone can do about it.
It's the same as walking down the street. You see it coming, step out of the way and alert the authorities. The best a responsible citizen can do, most of the time.

The FBI is taking this quite seriously and have notified interpol and they are assembling a strike team.
Obama has asked congress to exclude Matthew Gilcrist from qualifying for any part of his 3.7 billion dollar border crisis fund should the Kiwi attempt to enter the U.S. illegally. (he will however, still qualify for food stamps, medical insurance and allowed a driver's license in California)

There are no mods here. This is a business site protecting itself. It's not usenet, news group, chat site, whatever.... It's hard to categorize but we're lucky to have ST. Hand wringing over mods tactics and therapy for feckups is a joke.

The "correct" (linguistically and historically) plural of "anus" is "ani," but I suppose "anuses" predominates in our increasingly illiterate society.

Cleo, if you read RJ's 2nd post upthread, you'll see he's already mentioned this. Any talk of blocking NZ is just uninformed.
RJ:
Mr. Gilchrist's recent posts are coming from IP addresses from around the world. Most recently Canada, the day before Iraq, before that France, etc.
Matt has good tech support. He's not doing that alone.
