Help. We are stuck in the tractor beam inertia of town.
Had to stop for breakfast burritos at the Chevron outside of Fresno. Then hunger struck us and we wasted an hour at Todd's in Oakhust getting pulled pork sandwiches.
Now we can't get out of Ralley's. Why is it so hard to get out of town for climbing missions!
Golden knobs, clear blue swimmin holes and rarely travelled summits here we come. But first I gotta hit the ice cream aisle.

Salathe lived on tins of dates.
Perhaps that is the key to success?
Just get back in the car and DRIVE. Yer' not gonna die of hunger!
But don't forget the beer!!!

Man, Micro, I hope that the first time I get to Shuteye it's riding shotgun with you, bud. Still never been to that place.
Does the Chevron sell veggie burritos?

We stopped briefly for gas. Then ice. We punched through the Death Zone (the last stop light) at 1:00. Then a twenty minute nap at 1:40 pre rack-up.

Munge, good thinkin' but this was a day trip. No such luck with your reasoning. We were stupid slow getting out of civilization. It was terrible. Slow cashiers, slow traffic, a stop at the bank. Just horrifying. A total stoke snatcher. But all was well once the first golden grips were under the fingertips.

Kalimon the first pitch is a slabby crack with chickenheads. The second a steepening flare with water grrooves and kinda strange pro.

Bergbryce, after 30 minutes of trying with sticks I remembered I have a hide-a-key zip tied to the underside of my engine block.
Doh!

Sometimes the crux is your own stupidity. Sometimes the best part is your forethought. Like 30lbs of ice and some cold ones after climbing in 90 degree weather at 3:00pm in July on a route called The West Face.

There were a few sprinkles of rain at Shuteye today, but nothing to get anything wet. The climbing was great!
